All other browsers including ie and edge work fine without windows own firewall. I've never used windows firewall or defender and have never had problems of any kind. It's jsut with these new browsers
Do you not understand the concept of beta software that's currentlhy in accelerated development? Of course it's going to consume space, that's how it works. As for "Edgium" taking up a lot of space, the only aspect of it that I can't stand - or with Chromium or Chrome either - is that HTML5 file system crap where suddenly when I do a few downloads I've got 3-6-9GB or even more of stuff that stays there even after the downloads have completed successfully and I have to manually delete it which is irritating but I understand that's how it works (unfortunately). My actual "Edgium" folder with respect to the versions I've updated through (from 109 to 131 currently with each update in place, not new installs), sits at barely 650MB so I don't know where that 1GB of junk files number comes from. I mean really, in this day and age, who cares about a gigabyte or two when dealing with this kind of in-accelerated development enough to complain about it...
Haven't had one crash with any of the "Edgium" builds since the first leak (109). I have no idea what you folks are doing with it but geez, constant reports of it crashing all the time or frequently and I just can't even fathom what's going on with your setups or configurations. I use LTSC 2019, plain and simple, I haven't given a damn about tweaking it to hell and back nor am I even using any of the available privacy tools to disable even more aspects of it than the default installation. I really am puzzled to hear so many people having so many issues, there's just got to be a reason why and I don't believe for one second it's the browser being installed.
I definitely agree. I have been using Edgium since first leak, and never had a crash or any kind of problem with it.
