Both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix work fine for me with Canary 138, no issues noted, fast loading, smooth playback, nothing I can see going on that makes me think it's borked in some manner.
139 is out... and yes, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix work in this build for me as well, figured I'd test that a few moments ago...
Weird, all I get is a black picture with audio and subtitles if enabled. Works fine in chrome canary but no edge canary edit: attempted to uninstall and reinstall but apparently removing edge borked my chrome canary install, now it fails to launch although regular chrome still works fine, and freshly installed edge still has no video. nvm i think i found my edge video issue running in windows 8 compatibility mode fixes the issue but screws up the menu bar thing. --disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds will let your edge play videos on amazon, hbo and what not without screwing up the menu bar so long story short if you had the blank video issue on edge i would check about:gpu page and see if you have this listed: Direct composition causes rendering issues on Intel SandyBridge and IvyBridge GPUs: 775898, 785648, 9245627 Applied Workarounds: disable_direct_composition if so i would try adding --disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds to the shortcut and try watching a video
Still no video on Neflix in .139. Works fine in Chrome Canary. This issue doesn't seem to be effecting too many people.
I tried Windows 8 compatibility mode and get the "Whoops, something went wrong..." streaming error on Netflix. But just adding --disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds to the shortcut target field did the trick.
did you have this issue "Direct composition causes rendering issues on Intel SandyBridge and IvyBridge GPUs: 775898, 785648, 9245627" listed on your about:gpu page before using the switch?
Is it still exclusively for the x64 version of Win10? The download page was updated a couple days ago and now it just says for Win10, without specifically mentioning x64. I tried to install on my x86, running 1903, but it claimed I didn't meet the minimum requirements and refused to install. Anyone knows if it's still only for x64, or is there something else preventing installation? Strangely enough there's no info on what constitutes minimum requirements
