Saw an article earlier today about how Google may quietly begin to sabotage Microsoft's attempts with "Edgium" to move into their space by using their own code base from Chromium. I mean, as I mentioned in a post earlier Microsoft has already had 400+ commits to the Chromium code base so they're helping make Chromium itself better overall, but Google is doing some "stuff" already: - when I logged into Gmail a short time ago I got the "You're using an unsupported browser" warning which I have not seen so far in any Edgium use from the first leak to the latest build Canary 151 - when I logged into Drive I got the same warning and so on, several times I've seen that warning now so they've made some changes today in how Google services are reacting to being used with Edgium, and I don't particularly like them doing that crap but they're going to do it anyway.
What they are saying is... like the original leak of Edge that first came out, updates were not available because it was an internal Test build, which can't be updated from within the app. Only by getting a newer build internally and installing it, it would replace older one. Also like the original leaks, there are probably features not available too (syncing, favorites, etc.)
Of course not. In fact, it's much easier. They have not yet published the online installer (ie an autoupdater) link. There is only an offline installer with no auto update feature, absolutly the same what has Google Chrome. In fact, this installer (online installer or simply updater) exists, I downloaded it, but have not yet installed it because I already have Dev and Canary. In order to install a third one, at least from one should to be abandoned. And yet, they've done it so, that automatic upgrade is only available for one version, ie You can install they all, but autoupdate is possible only for one. Just like Google Chrome, where is absolutely the same situation.
In the latest Canary channel, you can delete the files under the "Edge SxS\Application\76.0.152.0\Locales" directory, keep only the language you need, and reopen Microsoft Edge, this will force display the language you want to. But at the moment, language packs seem to be translated with translation tools.
