@hb860 : Thanks Serg for the IE Mode info, very useful. Also I use Winaero Tweaker constantly as well.
I honestly feel like an idiot... I tried installing few versions of edge and none of them can sync passwords and stuff like some people could if the stable version will be lacking into it then I will freaking die from laugher
has anyone ever wondered why microsoft made the original edge, and then switched over to chrome when they realized google was far ahead of them?
Microsoft did what it could with native Edge, and there are some aspects of it that I actually like, including the ePub and PDF reading capabilities, but in the long run there wasn't going to be enough use to really matter, and then it became a cost issue: why pay for the teams of devs working on native Edge and fixing it whenever necessary when they can instead just use Chromium as the code base, add things to it, and let Google front the cost of basically all the actual development and bugs? It's a business decision more than anything else. No browser is perfect, no browser is the best overall, every person has different needs so what works best for one person may not work best for others, but given Chromium based browsers have a pretty serious chunk of the market it was a smart decision in the long run. The accelerated development for "Edgium" is happening because it's so developed as it is and just doing a relatively minor fork of the code base for Windows is an easy thing to do instead of starting from scratch.
If You used offline installer package, then everything is OK. Offline packages don't contain updater. If You want to get automatic updates, You must use online installer.
I honestly hate the gui of chromium edge, the one used with windows 10 is superior and sleak, I hope they will change that in the final release, but I love how light it is at least
It's the other way around actually. The rounded corners are beautiful, the right-click menu is also beautiful and the settings have their own tab instead of that abomination in original Edge.
