Emmm, maybe U can ask microsoft for some details.By the way,office2016Retail will also has the latest build number seemingly.
Having updated office 2019 to Build 11629.20196, Outlook is requesting the addition to the system saying "Use this account everywhere on your device". How can I disable this for both everything and MS Applications?
1) The files are the same for 2019 and 365, it is the license key that controls what features you have. (2019 was just a snapshot of Office 365 1808 to sell to clients that are resisting subscription based Office.) 2) VL is on the semi-annual channel for enterprise clients, you do not want constant changes in an enterprise environment... security patching is hard enough to keep up with.
I've always used the 32 bit Office, because I understood it was more compatible. Are you folks using the 64 bit Windows now?? Should I use the 64 bit version now?? TIA
You only need 32bit if you are using 32bit addins, if you are just using office you can switch to 64bit.
So Insider Office just released new build (11727.20064) and again can´t download like it was in the past. Files with ".cobra" again error downloading
I would like some advice and / or links on how to locate / create an Office 2019 STANDARD-x86 VL or Retail edition that can me activated with tools in this thread... I do not have a VLSC account... I have rummaged through this thread and searched on Google and have yet to find out how to do this... I am not interested in using "Pro Plus" because it includes features that I will never use... "Standard has everything I want to use... Please & Thank You
@Enthousiast, thank you very much for this very informative and useful information... I will put it to good use later on my TEST PC w/ LTSC 2019-x64 which has no Office installed...
Maybe it wants you to transition to O365 quickly. As the retail versions share the same bits, you can simply login, accept agreement, restart MSO, and it's done - O365 features get unlocked for you, with no extra downloads. VL versions are for big enterprises only, so MS knows that 1) no upgrades are to happen automatically and 2) they want smallest bits changes during patches. This is why MS branched O365 version 2018.6 (or around) to create VL O2019.
thank you, but this kind of seems confusing and im scared i would not do it right and something bad will happen.. is there a video tutorial or alternative? i'm just so scared i would mess things up ugh :-((((
@ailqq If you intend to use Office 2019 then read and follow Enthusiast post #2350 in this thread and substiute WORD for STANDARD... It works...
This exact problem is happening still with myself as well for the Insider FAST channel. I am choosing to ignore it for the time being but if anyone has further insight then it would be appreciated. Current build that this error is happening in: 11807.20000
I'm installing Office 2019 using @abbodi1406 's YAOCTRI tool. Everything normal till the update channel selection. I already read if one wants to activate with abbodi's tool KMS_VL_ALL as well, using "volume version" is needed. Can't remember what update channels were listed, but I think there was one or 2 "volume" ones indeed, but also a "Default" one, this one being actually the very first one. Which one should I choose? A "volume" one, or can "Default" also work? I remember the other Office installation tool, Deploy-N-Install, doesn't list so many update channels; in fact, just 2 IIRC Thanks.
