PP or standard only differ in extra templates, not in apps, doesn't it (i always use pp)? yaoctri can set both, standard and pro plus, up with the desired apps and exclude the others.

    Code:
    cd /d "bin path"
if you cannot figure how to do that, it's easier to use the scrubber pack

First my warmest thanks to @ratzlefatz, @Krakatoa and @abbodi1406 for the hours and days they spent to provide us with simple to use and effective solutions. And also thanks to them for the time and efforts they continue to devote to the maintenance of their tools and the answer to questions.

As a non experienced user, I was first frightened by the >100 pages of this thread. In order to start somewhere, I decided to use the scripts from @abbodi1406. Everything went fast and fine when installing the first time on a Windows fresh install : scripts are easy to use, documentation is clean, great job.

I then tried to install Office 2019 on another PC with Office already installed. I didn't read carefully the instructions, didn't completely uninstall previous version and ended up with a mess, namely wrong activation information of products more or less installed. I finally came to use the @abbodi1406 solution to scrub/remove Office. After some trial and error, the solution worked flawlessly. However, the instructions in the original post seem outdated and the Office_Scrubber_4 Readme are quite basic. Herewith some tips to do it right first time and my apologies if they seem obvious or have already been covered.

Hope this helps, best regards, Bill.

    1. If you want to use Uninstall_Keys.cmd and Uninstall_Licenses.cmd, do it BEFORE uninstalling Office. Both scripts apparently use ospp.vbs located in the Office folder. So, if you first uninstall or scrub Office (and the Office folder), it is no longer possible to uninstall keys or licenses.

    2. Prior to uninstall, I first disabled AutoRenewal-Setup.cmd from @abbodi1406. I don't know if it is needed, just in case.

    3. Prior to use Full_Scrub.cmd, the post recommends to "1- Uninstall current Office normally from Control Panel > Program and Features". I don't know if this is still needed. On the other end, the official Microsoft support ((Google : "Uninstall Office from a PC") now provides an Office Scrubber tool (SetupProd_OffScrub.exe) under Option 2. I don't know if both tools are complementary or redundant. What I finally did is to not uninstall Office from the control panel, to use the Microsoft tool (SetupProd_OffScrub.exe) and finally to run the @abbodi1406 tool (Full_Scrub.cmd).

    4. In order to test the full procedure, I installed Office and activated with KMS_VL_ALL from @abbodi1406. I then made a clean uninstall according to 1-3 steps above. I then reinstalled using YAOCTRI from @abbodi1406. I didn't reactivated with KMS_VL_ALL afterwards and to my great surprise, Office was again reactivated with earlier KMS keys. I don't know why as all keys and licenses were removed prior to Office uninstall. Maybe Uninstall_Keys.cmd and Uninstall_Licenses.cmd don't clean everything.

    5. After clean uninstall, there are still some leftovers that I cleaned manually :
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Office
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AppVISV (Administrator mode)
A last key was also present and impossible to remove, even under Administrator mode :
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Common\Smart Tag\Actions\{B7EFF951-E52F-45CC-9EF7-57124F2177CC}
Apparently, this key is present since Office 2010. It is possible to enable the automatic removal of this key by either scrubber tools if, prior to uninstall, you do the following (administrator mode) :
Right click on the key -> Autorisations -> Advanced. Right click on the first entry (Refuse ...) -> Remove -> Apply -> OK -> OK.
Notice that this key reappears again (with the Refuse property) after each Office reinstall.

Be very careful when playing with this key. I did something wrong (probably trying to remove the key while not in administrator mode) and the key was still present, greyed, with all properties gone. All my attempts afterwards to remove it (including third party tools) were unsuccesful. I tried afterwards to reinstall Office and it ended up with an error message. In the end, I found no other solution than make a complete Windows reinstall !

@Windows_Addict : Thanks for your feedback and explanations, more clear for me now. Best regards, Bill.

    Edit:
1- You are right. Running both scripts after Office uninstall only flag that there is no Office installation detected, then proceed with key/license cleaning.
3- OK, it indeed works flawlessly with Office uninstall from Control Panel followed by @abbodi1406 scrubber.
4- I read the readme but misunderstood it. I thought the 24/7 activation was due to AutoRenewal-Setup.cmd and not Activate.cmd.

I installed a version already converted to VL, is there any way to get it back to RETAIL without uninstalling and reinstalling everything?

    Really?

    Yes. (I didn't test :) )
If there is problem, edit the names in:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration
