Used above configuration.xml with office deployment tool to install the offline Professional2019Retail i downloaded from the links on #1 post, then used C2R-R2V to convert from retail to volume and activate with KMS-VL-ALL. I think maybe there is something wrong with the xml config. Also shouldn't the url for the updates be https and not http?

Can anyone help me with something about Powerpoint 2016/2019, please?
I've installed O2019 from O2016 - and it's fully activated etc.
The problem is that when I try to insert a video which is HEVC, Powerpoint automatically converts that to x264, - to make it compatible. But I don't want this to happen.
I tried to see how I can disactivate this function but I can't seem to find how.
Before I installed 2019, this didn't happen (on O 2016)… I guess I , somehow, managed to find a way to stop this from happening - but I forgot how!!
Anybody knows if I can do something to stop powerpoint from converting my video clips?

The laptop wasn't in use for a while.

Last week when opening Word and checking for updates, I was prompted (!) to
download them - never had this before. Version afterwards: 11929.20300, release date Sep 10.
Unfortunately, I didn't make a screenshot.

Today, I did the same - no prompt this time in Word - so the usual procedure:
click on check for updates, updates downloaded and installed, version now: 12026.20264

Has a change been made to Office 2019?
The 11929.20300 had security updates, 12026.20264 hasn't.

To your advice:

connection is not metered.

The only file I found is this -: officeclicktorun.exe_streamserver(201910031545071060) it's empty.

Does Mondo version Office 2019 expire after a certain time? This was asked several times on different forums and the answer seemed to always be YES. But has anyone confirmed if Mondo actually does expire?

"Office Mondo is a pre-release version normally issued to selected technical professionals to provide Microsoft with a source of informed bug reports and highlight compatibility problems with existing software.
Normally, Mondo releases are set to expire after a designated interval and are not available for general distribution."

 

Short answer: No

- the expired Office Mondo are the old MSI-based versions, they were not released or leaked

- with C2R technology, Office Mondo is just another official SKU, it will not expire

- there are no Office 2019 Mondo, Office 2019 itself is part of Office 2016 Mondo

My apologies if this has been asked before but I could not find an answer in my search.

Situation as follows; (Laptop running Windows 10 HOME)

- Downloaded PROPLUS2019RETAIL.IMG from link #1 in OP.
- Mounted image and installed.
- Converted to VL with C2R-R2V_11 and got activation with MONDO licenses
- Verifying installation found installed version ended up being OFFICE 365 and not OFFICE 2019.

Can someone please explain why this happened and how can I get Office2019 instead?

So the problem with automatic updates is the schedule task, at least for me. The one that Office 2019 creates runs C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe with arguments /frequentupdate SCHEDULEDTASK displaylevel=False . Was reading about YAOCTRI on the github page and saw this "and after installation, you can execute this in command prompt as administrator to update Office:
"%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatepromptuser=True displaylevel=True" so i run the same task with the new arguments & it started to update office. Maybe this can be corrected on the xml config file when installing or maybe it could be added in YAOCTRI to replace the task created from the setup.

 

i got an update today and now I have this build. Is it the latest one?
