Oh! Cool! Hmm, should I use this way of installing even on Windows 10 or 11 or whatever else? Does your script install Office 365 with the required licenses for this to happen on Windows 8+?

Btw, if you have time, why is the installed SKU from Office 365 when I selected ProPlus2019Volume on it and not Microsoft 365 Enterprise? (I was supposed to select the one I did, right?) This is just a curiosity.

it depend on the version you installed
Win7 compatible version may not have the new name

 

Office Scrubber v8:
uninstalled Office from Programs and Features
ran cscript OffScrubC2R.vbs
rebooted system
executed
1.reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office /f
2.reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office /f

number 1 ran correctly

number 2 reported: reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office /f error delete request partially completed

There is such a "sore" in Office. Open the designated branch (path) in the registry and check the contents. Usually, you need to reassign permissions and delete the entry. In rare cases, subsequent installations of Office may fail.

It seems I may have hit that target already.
Downloaded Office monthly with yaoctru. Ran the commands from Yaoctri choosing the various options then choosing the final option install now and the installation failed with a message from click2run saying it had failed and asking me to "close the Program"
Pity as everything had gone well up to that point.
If this is due to me deleting the reg entry I complained about can I recreate it?

Running the Office Scrubber script takes a good 20+ minutes on my machine. Is this normal?

I'm running with admin privileges.
Any ideas?

I have Downloaded Retail IMG and also Activated via Latest KMS.

Only Query: How to get NON-LTSC version of office 2021 ? Such a DL exists here with proper activation ?

 

I believe that you have to install a 365 version to get a non-LTSC version.
