This is an update build and not an iso/img right? The one I downloaded from the first page shows: 16.0.10730.20102. Next update iso/img comes out in another 6 months?
Nope, Office 2019 is C2R only now and forever (unless M$ changes things again) the notion of Windows 10 SAC and new versions every 6 months does not exist in the Office 2019 world, there will be no new “features” coming to Office 2019, only security and fixes all delivered via C2R only, no more Windows Update or Microsoft Catalog downloads. M$ wants everyone to subscribe to Office 365 if they want feature updates and improvements By default updates are enabled in Office 2019 so you should be getting the latest version automatically if not you can force it under file - account options - update check
Hello, Yesterday (Madrid`s time) I've created, using Admin elevated Command Prompt the following two junctions (they´re of course in castilian), in order to try to install the new Office 2019 C2R on P: instead than to C:. It failed: Office does fails at installing; uncompleting install. Commands used (before installing): MKLINK /J "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15" "P:\Archivos de programa\Ofimática\MS Oficina 2019" MKLINK /J "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office" "P:\Archivos de programa\Ofimática\MS Oficina 2019" Now I'm trying all the way to remove the junction; I also entered, from the Admin elevated Command Prompt the P:\Archivos de programa\Ofimática directory, but both RD and rmdir return me a reply that ¨The system cant find the speficied file¨ when its still visible in Windows Explorer (refreshed with F5). I need to delete an MKLINK /J in Windows 10 18242.1000.180914-1435.RS_PRERELEASE_CLIENTPRO_OEMRET_x64FRE_ES-ES Whats is supposed have I to do to eliminate that MKLINK /J command I gave? Any real working trick is welcome. Thanks and regards.
Thanks abbodi1406, what about doing a Clean Installation of Windows 10? Will doing a clean installation of Windows 10, correct that?
just change the filename from links on 1st post Code: O365BusinessRetail.img O365HomePremRetail.img O365ProPlusRetail.img why do you need them?
Please, I need this file : SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_64Bit_French_-5_OfficeOnlineSvr_MLF_X21-63788.iso
With Office 2019 moving to C2R exclusively, and no Office updates under Windows Update, what is the best way of doing offline updates for a number of computers that have slow internet these days? I used to use a combination of WSUS Offline Update and Windows Update MiniTool. OfficeRTool is great for getting the latest build, but there's no easy way to search for what a computer has and install only updates without basically re-installing and having to choose which apps, etc., etc. And it won't help with OEM installs like Home & Business. Updating 35 machines in a weekend for a company with 5Mbps or slower internet is just not feasible if there is no method of offline updates, especially if they have a mix of Office installs (2016, 2019, 365, retail, OEM, etc.). Thoughts?
I have downloaded ProPlus2019Retail.img which is 3.5GB. Is it possible to convert retail to volume for KMS activation?
It's very simple. Assuming a clean system, If you use ODT with a manual xml that points to a VL version as in your quoted sample without a specified channel, It'll use it's default channel for updates that is Production_LTSC/PerpetualVL2019 which is still on an older version. This can be changed before install if you set Channel="Monthly" or "Current", so it'll always be on the most recent version. You can also change it later via reg policy, or by the OfficeRTool automated process. If you're using OfficeRTool and set monthly from the start to install ProPlus2019Retail, and later convert the license from C2R to VL, the monthly channel config will be retained too.
Okay, so if I re-install windows or want to install office 2019 on a new computer; I start with 16.0.10730.20102 img/iso and then, just have updates turned on to get the latest (update) build.
Tried it and you can not install VL via ODT with setting Channel="Monthly" or "Current" only "PerpetualVL2019" works which is default. Also with version set to Volume instead of Retail ODT downloads older build.
Anyone know what is the file size (approx) of officeRtool downloaded office x86 version monthly/retail 16.0.10827.20138 ?
