I tried. The activation does not work for. A common error given by all KMS tools is this: ERROR CODE: 0x80080005. Not sure what this is. Please advice.

using OfficeRTool2018Aug26 tool and insider channel to download , will download office 2019 ?
i have office 2016 already install , do i have to uninstall it in order to run OfficeRTool2018Aug26 tool to download office 2019 ?

but i have to download insider channel(office insider FAST ) or monthly channel (RTM) in order to get to office 2019 RTM ...am i right here?

you must uninstall office 2016 in order to install 2019. i tried upgrade over an existing 2016 instalation but it didnt worked

 

I had the same problem.
Solution was: move activation files to desktop and run as admin (dont forget to DISABLE antivirus software).

Serious question: Why are people here excited to use Office 2019 when they can have the more feature-rich Office 365?

 

Because Office 2019 is a Perpetual one-off version (could be KMS activated), whereas Office 365 is Subscription & Server based (require us to pay).

 

But with C2R-R2V (https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...install-activation.62571/page-28#post-1150042) I was able to convert license to Office Mondo without issue and be able to KMS activate.
It still shows Office 365 at boot, still have the higher softwareversion and still have more options.

 

That won't activate new features of O365 and it will still remain Office 2019 (branded as 0365).
