is this news true ? i mean why they removed msi installer ? c2r is realy wasting time and install many telemetry services realy bad. waht is your opinion ?
The only way to disable "spy services" is to not use internet. Microsoft is currently a provider/seller of users data under PRISM surveillance program (ran by NSA). Other known companies under this program are Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Apple and many more. Click-to-Run is just a useful feature which allow users to download, install & update Office quickly and is not a virus. If you know how to properly deploy it, then customization and telemetry will not be a issue. You can always use Office 2016 from Microsoft VLSC for a more customer-friendly experience.
It seems when you include Channel in the config.xml, changing the registry key does not enable feature updates. Removed it and now I can update.
Whenever I install office 2019 the powerpoint startup screen shows Office 365. How can i change it to display office 2019?
An observation, If you install office 2019 as retail and convert it VL and after that use token rebuilding in that case, It will corrupt office license. and repair now option (when you open an office app) can't repair it. and you have to convert it to Vl again to correct the license problem. but if you directly install office as VL in that case repair now option (when you open an office app) can repair license itself.
Office 2019 does not update with Windows Update anymore? I see there's update button in Office 2019 applications now, I set it to automatic but it seems it only updates when I launch it, nothing on Windows Update.
I have a lot of reading to catch up on but normally i have the 2016 Pro Plus VL iso and i use MS Tool Kit to activate with the EZ activator button and its never steered mt wrong. from what i can tell so far is that there is no VL ISO for 2019 and i should use Office Tool Plus to install the retail version and convert to VL then Activate? what am i missing here?
