why would i lie about that ? yes i was able to install office 2019 VL version on my win7 machine with the tool of the russian guy. (v6.4.7) if you don't believe me, test by yourself and you'll see.
is there is a way for selective install ? I only use word and excel and do not need any thing else. thank you
deltas are only used for updating installed version for offline repository, you will always need to download whole new version
Windows 7 files are ancient, you need to install at least the latest Monthly Rollup to work with Office C2R
I'm still struggling with this Retail vs Volume discussion for myself. I've installed Office 2019 Standard Volume directly through Office Deployment Tool (the old version that still accepts the channel) and I'm offered updates. Today it got updated from 10337.20021 to 10338.20019 just as stated in the Update History. Clean and sleek without any conversion at all. @ratzlefatz what do you mean with "update not working"? As far as I understand, this is the normal behaviour. The PerpetualVL2019 channel doesn't receive any new features, just security and performance fixes.
You get more and often updates when you not use PerpetualVL2019 channel. But you can only install Office native Volume by using this special channel. If you try to use other channels for installing ProPlus2019Volume then you get errors and install fails. So, when you want more updates, you must install Office2019Retail using (for example) MONTHLY channel and convert to Volume. I wondered why so much people want native Volume (and get less) when they can have more, by simply executing a second step (Retail2VL conversion).
A new OfficeRTool version (2018/November/19) was released today -BugFix- Office 2019 Single Apps were not detected/found when installed as native Volume Apps by other tools Function (C) CONVERT OFFICE RETAIL TO VOLUME Office 2019 Single Apps names are changed from Retail to Volume to be correctly stored in registry. No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
Updates can be enabled without the conversion, too. If you install using the old ODT, a retail source, volume PID, and no channel specified. This will require adding the Update Policy registry value set as Current. If you use C2R, updates are enabled without doing anything if installed using the Monthly update channel, the PerpetualVL2019 install channel and a Monthly channel build as the installation source without adding an Update Policy.
Only the ProPlus and Standard Volume licenses can be activated using KMS. You can choose which apps to install. If you want to install Word, Excel, and PowerPoint only, you can do so. Use the tools linked at the OP (first post) to install Office.
Thanks for the reply @shoss! So Home and Student Retail can't be converted to Volume and activated via KMS?
I would say, for the same reason people want to have less feature updates for windows.. more stability (just bugfixes and security patches), and less new (and buggy) features. -andy-
Hi All All the download img of Microsoft Office 2019 retail at FIRST page is a FINAL release or just a PREVEW?. Thanks
hI. I used ODT (Office Deployment Tool) to download the latest update of Office 2019 but not created an IMG file. Now, how do I integrate the downloaded files to the Official Microsoft Office 2019.img? Or exists now another way to do it?
You do not need to create an img file. You can use OD or the tools linked in the first post to install Office.
