[DISCUSSION] Microsoft Office 2024

Dev channel (branch) - developer version (unstable build). PerpetualVL???? (doesn't exist for 2024) - stable ("final") and beta at the initial stage.
When you find it on sale on the Microsoft website, then there will be a release, but before that there is nothing released. Moreover, pay attention to 2016/2019 - there is no “final”, updates are released within one product and without updating the functionality (bug fixes).

 

A bit off topic but I need to ask. Is there any way to get the single line ribbon back in any channel?

 

Depends on the version, not the channel. If the version you are using has code for this functionality, then with a suitable license you can try to configure it. I mentioned my research into hidden functionality in the Visual Refresh topic. I can’t say in detail because I don’t write down all the details. And at the beginning of this month, my records file was corrupted (my oversight), so there was even less information.

I don't know what is wrong i had downloaded office as per instructions First post but my installation progress pauses at 20% and after that nothing happened, no error, no message. I forcefully killed setup and start again and again but same thing happened, Much appreciated if someone guide me or help me to complete Office 2024 installation. Thanks in advance for helper

 

I had this issue when I installed it in an offline vm. Once I connected it to the internet, the install went through. I ran the scrubber between installs.

Are official editions installed using the official utility deployment method via the office deployment tool?
If so, try downloading the distribution via Office Tool Plus first. It is possible that there is a problem with receiving some file.
To understand the situation, you need to read the log files and understand what you are reading. I didn’t see a tool for convenient reading of logs, so I used Excel and a third-party text editor, which partially simplified reading the information.

Will it expire even if permanently activated?

 

I didn"t understand. Should I remove Preview before installing Release? Or is it possible to switch from Preview to Release witout uninstalling?

 

Did this and it downloads 5 cab files and 2 dat files (total size 3.48 GB). There isn't any exe file. How to install this? Thanks.

 

Install with YAOCTRI

 

How? It asks for the directory path. I specify it and it says no relevant files found.

 

You don"t need any exe-file. Dowload YAOCTRI, unpack it and place YAOCTRI_Configurator.cmd file besides "Office" Folder which was downloaded by YAOCTRU.
Then run YAOCTRI_Configurator.cmd as admin to install Office.

I had already tried your suggestion (with as many variations I could think of) but nothing worked. Tried again after your reply. Also tried installing with YAOCTRI_Installer and YAOCTRIR_Installer. Have Googled for days but not come up with anything,

Used YAOCTRU 10.7 to download with wget:

Installing on Windows 11 Pro for Workstations 64-bit.

Is that a full list of the files (in the screencap) needed to make up Office 2024?

Any other ideas?
