Microsoft just announced that Office 365 Apps will continue to be supported till October 2028, with the limitation that security/performance issues might occur. I'm not quite sure if they will continue with Feature Updates (2511, 2512, 2601..) or if Windows 10 will freeze at 2510. I cannot immagine that there will be a feature freeze in October, since Microsoft states that Server 2022 (based on W10 21H2) will be supported till October 2026 with M365 updates. So, they would have to Freeze 22H2 before 21H2, which is unlikely
Similar to Windows 10 updates, only security updates have been available for free. While this is good news for those who choose or can't upgrade to W11, don't expect MS to provide feature updates. If by chance they change their minds, I'll be surprised.
It all depends on what features you want/need. For the newest features for Excel. Power Point, Word etc. and full compatibility between workplace, business, and home, Office 365 is the way to go.
The issue is, I have found crashes after the official version. It worked sometimes, and then it didn't. When it does, it works well, when it doesn't, it just crashes left and right.
i want both of them ? becoz i want to know how copilot slov my problem and that solution i use in 2016
You do know that Microsoft Copilot Pro (which can assist Office apps) is subscription based only? But they do offer a month free trial but by the looks of it, you must have a valid Microsoft 365 subscription already
You need an Office 2024 ISO File. Additionally, Office Extender for Windows 8.1 needs to be installed on the system. After that, use YAOCTRI Office Installer to install Office 2024 (LTSC) on 8.1
After months of inactivity, I've finally tried running new versions of Microsoft 365 on Windows 8.1. I managed to install v2507 (the latest beta) on Windows 8.1. This is the 30th post-EOL version that can run on Windows 8.1 without an Extended Kernel (EOL: 2301, no ESU program). Windows 8.1 definitely benefits from newer APIs compared to Windows 7.
So, Microsoft extended Office 365 Feature Updates for Windows 10 till August 2026. Version 2608/2609 will be the last one and will continue to be supported with Security Updates until October 2028 "Also important: Microsoft 365 apps running on personal and business Windows 10 PCs will continue to receive security updates until October 10, 2028, and feature updates until August 2026."
