You can install it for free, you have to pay to use it. Currently, the situation is as follows. Microsoft Sales offers Copilot as a 30-day free trial, as an administrator, you can get a license for 25 users. The cost of Microsoft Copilot depends on the application it is being integrated into, minimum is $108 per year. Starting November 1, Microsoft 365 Copilot was made available for enterprise customers at a whopping $30 per user per month. M365 Copilot — generally available as of November 1 for those in the Microsoft 365 Current Channel — requires a minimum purchase of 300 seats. (Those in the M365 Monthly Enterprise Channel will be able to take advantage of the M365 Copilot features starting in December 2023.)
C2R-Retail2Volume v19 - Implemented fallback support to access WMI using Windows PowerShell, if both wmic.exe and vbscript.dll are not installed - Improved Office MSI / C2R differentiation and enhanced detection for Office C2R vNext licenses - Few code improvements and fixes - Dropped non-AIO script (because both now use powershell code)
I have installed Office 365 on a Work PC and activate using MAS. Is it safe to do that or can my employee get in trouble?. I haven't blocked it with firewall since I need to use Outlook. We do have Office LSTC 2021 license at work but the Office apps are installed on the server and I can access them when I login using RDP but I want to have some Office apps on my Windows install.
MS may audit businesses to check the license, and employees won't get in trouble, owner will get in trouble. If you are running it in a business environment, you should know whether MS may audit it or not, depending upon the location and size of the business.
During the 4 years I have worked here nobody has checked what I have installed on the PC and checked if licenses are valid. I was running Office 2010 version (alongside 2019 and then 2021) for the past 3 years and the lincese for it was expired for the whole period and nothing has happened. Office is probably phoning back home I was thinking that maybe Microsft could automatically see that there is a Business 365 version running on a PC in a company that has a license for a different Office version. But if that is not the case then I should be safe since I doubt that anyone will ever check what is installed on my PC. I should probably have installed 2021 LTSC on the PC so even if Microsoft would notice that there is a KMS activated Office install they will see that the company has a license for it even if this install is not activated using that license.
Never heard anything like that, if it was true and Microsoft was taking action on that then we would have heard some noise.
is your version different than the Mondo 2016 which is what shows up after we download the Microsoft Office 365 iso but seems to have all the functionality and features of the online 365 version. This version also works KMS. I'm not sure what MAS is since I'm left the impression only KMS activates Office.
I'm not sure. I installed Office Business version and activated with MAS but then re installed Windows, installed Office Proplus and actitaved with KMS. Microsoft Activation Scripts (MAS) (massgravel) has an option to permanently activate Office (ohook).
FAQ: Why not just use a subscription edition with Mondo licenses? This will be probably the most frequently asked question. While Mondo 2016 licenses allow all the Office applications to work and support KMS activation, these are only partially updated for newer versions of Office. Thus, the product policy provided by these licenses lack some of the policies found in licenses for newer versions. Since Office product policy mainly consist of entries like office-UUID, there is no way to verify which features may not work. With this method, a correct license for the installed edition is used, meaning every feature should work as intended. There are also other issues with installing license files from other editions but we won't be bothering with them.
Is there a Office 365 iso preview available like Office 2024 (Office 365 has more features than 2024).
