For those that get an error while trying to run setup after deleting unwanted stuff. There is now three more extra files needed. In my case it is: \GFExperience\PrivacyPolicy\PrivacyPolicy_en-US.htm \GFExperience\EULA.html \GFExperience\FunctionalConsent_en-US.txt
"UpdatusUser" After some looking around in my user folder and then on the net, I found hat NVidia actually installs its own user in the User folder. I was trying to find anything about that here on MDL, but find nothing... ???
First, at all, I would include all Nvidia site into the Firewalls Block List! After that, I would just download the drivers manually and modify those 'Packages' for my personal use. And that applies to all downloads from sites which a known for their bad behavior!
oh oooops silly me simple mistake and was not a 100% TO YOUR LIKING ROFL get over it. There is another word for it and it's not jerk
Uninstalled legacy NVIDIA drivers using DDU. Used NVSlimmer, ignored the unknown folders warning, and ticked checkboxes: Core/Required, HD Audio & PhysX. Installed 474.11 on Windows 7 (and did the same on Windows 8.1); Installed 472.12 on Windows 10 LTSC 2019 Version 1809 (the last non DCH version I could find for notebook). I also run these steps while disconnected from the Internet. Still looking on the options I've found to disable telemetry (see posts above): discussion-nvidia-geforce-experience-and-geforce-driver-updates.72923/page-5#post-1540307 (#90) discussion-nvidia-geforce-experience-and-geforce-driver-updates.72923/page-5#post-1542811 (#94) Does anyone have any additional recommendations?
