DISCUSSION: Office 16

Just went through Microsoft Connect, signed up and its upgrading my O365 now. Funny, it recognized I have both O365 and Office 15 licensed. Asked me which one I wished to upgrade.

 

I got office 16 proplus not 365

The Microsoft Connect Link is up and working (Used it successfully yesterday). No need to do it through torrent when you can now use it legitimately through official means?

How can I activate Office 16? MTK doesn't work...

 

An active Office 365 subscription will activate it... Although that's not much help if you don't have one.

 

Yes, I don't have a Office 365 subscription, I only have Office 2013 ProPlus...

 

Use KMSauto NET it might take a few tries and you will have to convert Office to VL and you might also need keys from here iruanmi.com/tool/key but it will work. The only thing is when you open word you will get a message telling you repair office, ignore the message.

To update to the new 16.0.3726.1006 from a previous beta version, in the office application of your choice click File - Office Account - Update Options then Update Now.
Providing you have a 365 install.

I've downloaded from the mentioned source. But, I don't see any setup.exe.
So, I downloaded office deployment kit.
It gave me setup.exe and configuration.xml.
But, as other files are not similar to those in iso(I suspect by comparing office 2013 iso), it is not installing.
Please, guide me to install it.


Now working:

1.
Uninstall old Office.

2.
I downloaded files from ms-vnext .net in E:\Downloads\16.0.3030.1018_en-US_x64.

3.
I downloaded Office Deployment Tool from MS Website. I extracted it under the same folder.
This gave me setup.exe and configuration.xml.
I edited xml file:

I ran command prompt from the same folder by shift+rightclick.

It's installing now and showing balloon in right side about progress.


Edit:
It appears to install visio thing and 365, that too from Internet!!?? Please tell me how to configure it correctly so that it could take my locally downloaded files as source and install office 2015.

BTW, I'm on Windows 10 Technical Preview 9926.

 

How do I activate off a refresh install? The previous crack doesn't detect Office16 right off the bat.
