What is the error message that you get? As SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe isn't referenced anywhere in PackageProperties.xml only the other remaining files are, as long as you have downloaded them all & they aren't corrupted there should be no error even if using an older SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe file. Out of curiosity how old is your SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe file, it should have a Digital Signature with date if you right click it.
This file is from the latest Microsoft Office 2010 OPK dated 9 June 2011, if I launch it from the DVD inside the folder Office2010Starter all is OK, but if I use it with the files provided in the post for the French version and copied in a same folder, then the process of downloading begins. After looking in the new files provided by spiralien, mine are different, so I'll give a new try and will inform you. Thanks anyway for these infos.
I think that one or more files you have downloaded are corrupted. I have tried on Virtual Machine and it's ok. The SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe used is a previous version When i want send you Private Message, i have : "coleoptere2007 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her."
hello all.. is there any way to download the SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe for "el-gr" i have all other files except this one and as I understand it's language specific..
Hello. I downloaded all of the files in the first post, but I am unable to successfully perform offline installation. If I install offline, it installs, but I cannot open Microsoft Word Starter, and the other applications have limited usability. If I open the Click to Run manager, it says that Office Starter 2010 is 7% downloaded. Surely it does not need more files in addition to the ones in the first post, as they total over 750 MB, when even Professional is only about 650 MB. What am I doing wrong? Online installation works fine, but I prefer to be able to do it offline.
Don't think you are doing anything wrong as it's not a true full offline install, it requires more files after the installation that are unknown to be downloaded to be fully usable offline. After it's finished & gets to 100% it should say something along the lines of Starter can now be used offline.
Hello, I've a question for spiralien ( en rapport avec laspirale.net je suppose ?), it's possible to give me a french verison of setupconsumerc2rolw.exe ? Because all links of this file are dows. I've try to find it, but i've just find a chinesse and english version. Thank a lot
Version 14.0.6114.5002 is now up. Just looked in the Descriptor.xml file, looks like Windows 8 support has been added, a new entry: <OS MinVer="6.2" MinSP="0" ProductType="1"/> Would anyone running the Developer Preview be willing to test this? I would but uninstalled it a while ago.
Before when I tried offline installation the Click2Run Application Manager reported that Office was 7% downloaded. I updated the offline files to the latest version and reinstalled, now it will say Office is 47% installed (I can use some parts of it now.) I let it connect to the internet, but it still gave me a message saying that it could not download the files and would not continue past 47% downloaded. I also tried online installation, but it craps out while downloading files saying it can't connect to the internet. My internet connection is fine, but I did notice when downloading files for offline installation that downloads from c2r.microsoft.com don't seem to work well here, I had to repeatedly restart the downloads to get the files. Can anyone help me with this?
Well, it seems corrupt files are to blame. After re-downloading, installation works fine, even when offline. I have also discovered that the .dsft files are unnecessary, however, I cannot get the Office Device Manager to work offline.
Once Office 2010 Starter is installed it will then begin to download & install more files from an online source, if your offline it obviously won't & will not have full Office functionality.
