Is there actually an updated SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe to go along with this?

The one I have is 14.0.5115.5000, would like to update it if someone has an actual SetupConsumerC2ROLW.exe file for 14.0.6137.5006 or newer (en-US of course).

    Thanks!

PS: the system's that I have, and my family have couldn't be more happier, then again, when they tried the "trial" update of home and office and the starter edition broke... well, all hell does break loose from time to time :D thankfully I had the nice tool and older file :p

Has anyone tried to run this on Windows 8.1 yet? I just tried to install it by running setup in Windows 7 compatibility mode as administrator and it tells me that I need Vista SP1 or later to install it. The same setup file works on Windows 8.0.

Windows 8 was released with the build number 6.2
    Windows 8.1 is a 6.3 build

Actually Office Starter can be installed on 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2 build number.
You can see that into the last descriptor.xml
May be, in the future, installation on 6.3 will be available...

or maybe add <OS MinVer="6.3" MinSP="0" ProductType="1"/> and everywhere else it is needed. Could be nothing more than a flag.

well anyway lol, I am trying to get LT-LT, and its DOA at MS servers, they change the location? Building an ISO with all languages, that is the only one I need now. I have all the SetupConsumerC2ROLW's

I don't think you can edit that, the setup seems to check the digital signature of everything.

Correct. While Adding that to the file probably fixes the OS check, Setup then fails because it believes the file is corrupt.

Either somebody writes a patcher to skip the WinVerifyTrust checks or somebody makes an alternative setup. A setup could be done with just a .BAT file but it requires lots of registry entries since the office click2run redistributable doesn't include SFTmime (needed to register App-V applications like Office Starter).
