yeah if and when that link dies off, Ill put it somewhere else. The place is quick and dirty though, works perfect for small uploads.
You're the best, dude. Thank you. This will be SP2 which I have been patiently/not-so-patiently waiting for. However, Berny's tool doesn't seem to find it. Nor does Click-to-Run Application Manager in the Control Panel. I'm just trying a Repair now with the normal installer file to see if it picks up the latest version and downloads it. Oh nevermind, it's complete now. And yes, it did work by running Repair. New version is SP2. Thanks again. Does anyone know how long it takes Microsoft to get the installer files up online so that Berny's toll will grab it? EDIT: Awesome, the setup file that spiralalien linked to is back up by Microsoft and is version 14.0.7107.5000. I tried Berny's tool with the more recent setup file but Berny's tool still wont download the new installer files. Update: Microsoft has updated all files on the server now and Berny's tool is working perfectly to download the new setup files as well. Starter is running fine so far with SP2. That OfficeAdRemover tool is still working correctly as well with this new version.
Hi Spiralien New links for those languages Code: Croatian: h__p://c2r.microsoft.com/ConsumerC2R/hr-hr/14.0.4763.1030/ Lithuanian: h__p://c2r.microsoft.com/ConsumerC2R/lt-lt/14.0.4763.1023/
In the descriptor.xml file now sates: Code: <OS MinVer="6.2" MinSP="0" ProductType="1"/> This should mean that it can be installed on windows 8. Haven't been able to test it yet... PS: updated OP with links to spiralien post en Berny's tool.
For the dutch language (nl-nl), the "launchofficeintl.dll" is not available yet on the server... Udate:It's available now!
Does anyone know what the "ConsumerC2R.nl-nl_14.0.7113.5007.fs.hmp" file is for? It's also on the server... I know the *dsft files are used for the update process when office starter is already installed, but i'm wondering about the use of this file...
Not sure exactly what it does, but I have seen it before. Even if you don't have it within your setup/installation folder it must automatically download anyways. It shows up in this location: Code: C:\ProgramData\Virtualized Applications\{90140011-0066-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}
ConsumerC2R.**-**_14.0.7113.5007.fs.hmp is also found inside the .cab file as well. Good to see the Setup files are back, wonder if that was a mistake or they just don't care LOL, they were taken down for quite a while.
I think it's a mirror of the file allocation table of the virtual click2run filesystem, likely used to download the required files in realtime before the entire download is completed.
The english (and new) setup file is not again available on microsoft's servers... Update: from what I saw in the English 4 .dsft files are not available on servers along with the new .exe setup file. On the Greek language also about 10-11 .dsft files from the descriptor.xml are also not available.... No new descriptor.xml btw.
Why would you need the DSFT files? Those are just patches to update older SFT files and have no use when you already have the latest SFT.
I didn't knew that these was patches and since someone here suggested that we should have all the files (and that was what i was doing so far) i tried to download these new too. Fwiw it's king of strange that are not available...
For the hungarian language (hu-hu), the "launchofficeintl.dll" is not available yet on the server... I more probably downloading, but I can't
The same file had problem downloading for the English version as well at least with the Office 2010 Starter Offline Setup Tool v1.4.
