Try to fix or restore if needed. sharepointsnapple period com/2015/09/21/windows-media-center-netflix-restore/ Edit: I confirm it works.
Yes your EPG is not working, but without any further info no person in the world is able to help you out here. So what kind of tuner do you use, what kind of software is in the middle? Beside that: are you able to watch encrypted TV channels, because so far there is nobody in the US who has this working because of the PlayReady issue.
Make sure that you have unzipped to a local resource with a short folder name (something like c:\WMC) 1) Check that you have admin rights by following directions in _Readme.txt 2) run _TestRights.cmd (as administrator) 3) run Uninstaller.cmd (as administrator) 4) reboot 5) run _TestRights.cmd (as administrator) - still need to make sure the 2nd window stays open 6) run Installer.cmd (as administrator) 7) if above is successful: Make sure the first time you run after the install you right click on the Windows Media Center Icon and run as Administrator. if you don't get results after entering your zip code, then the web server is most like overloaded, try again later. it should ask you who your provider is, I get a list to pick from - then after all that it will scan the channels and download the guide. This has been working really, really well for many U.S. residents. As another member mentioned, DRM isn't working yet - but I wouldn't let that stop you. I have been watching / recording / playing content since September.
Thanks so much for whoever made this possible! Now I don't have to throw away 3 xbox's. There is not a chance microsoft would nerf this capability in the future is there? For those of you who still have trouble downloading the tv guide make sure you try several zip codes around your area before doing anything crazy. I had to change mine from 33880 to 33830 when they switched over in August. I assumed it would still be 33830 when I installed this on Windows 10 but I had to use 33844. Zipcodes for 3 different cities. I'm not sure what is going on but its quite rediculous. Don't give up it will work!
I do not believe the extenders are working yet so your 3 Xbox 360s just like mine are still collecting dust.
This is why I am using a win10 box as a test box. I still have my win7 box going strong with 2 ceton 4tuners, 2 360's, Linksys and Ceton extender.
Complete awesomeness!!! Used the full restore from your link since I never had Netflix in WMC on W10. Then I installed the search fix which I found here: (from the green button thread link on the page linked to above) h**ps://onedrive period live period com/?id=8AFD0E4C7C9FD88%21505567&cid=08AFD0E4C7C9FD88&group=0&authkey=%21ABN4eHys-ubvJK0
We'll I setup Win10 on a Physical Device with our WMC with DVD Player. (made no modifications yet) Went through standalone wmc version 8's setup, but I can't for the life of me get the "System Files Modified" to come up. I used v6 (or 7) for awhile, I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Now I just get "Weak TV Tuner Signal" on any CopyOnce channel. This replicates what I've recently been seeing in VMWare with newer tests. Checked out WMDRM status options in WMC and they all report "Ready/Green" version 10.x. I'll have to see if that's any different than the Windows 8 or 7 setups. So I couldn't get to a point to "test" to make said modifications, As it stands right now, I'm dead in the water. I'll try going back to version 6 or 7 of our standalone WMC and see if that makes a difference. But for now, till next time daily duties commence. Next time I have the time, I'll try; Windows 10 Physical with Version 8 WMC, with MediaFoundation Copied & Policy Editor Modifications (can these be perm?). Windows 10 Physical with Version 6(7?) WMC, with DVD Player. In an attempt to either see if the Physical device with the MediaFoundation works, or if the older version of WMC brings back the System Files Modified message. Ever since I've used version 8, I can't recall getting a System Files Modified honestly.
I am, are you able to get all the channels you had gotten with windows 8.1? with windows 10 and cox communications as my provider, I can only get 6HD Channels, with windows 8.1 I am able to get all the channels. Here is a screenshot of windows 10.
I am only connected to an outdoor antenna, and receive all the channels I had previously with win 7 and 8.1. FM radio is not working, but everything else is fine.
Yes = you got the livetvdata? If so try to startover (launch the WMC recovery task, wait few seconds and then launch WMC again. The initial wizard will start again like it was the first time. I'm using an haupauge ministick HD I had about 350 channels on win 7/8, I have 350 channels in win 10 (10/15 of them are in HD, 330 of them are channels that I couldn't care less to have )
Can anyone that's working on this project PLEASE confirm whether or not extender support has been tested in the latest v8 - BIG thanks in advance
