In regards to the PlayReady issues...has anyone looked into the usage of wmdmps.dll, mswmdm.dll, cewmdm.dll, and Wpc.dll? All of these files (and more) are read from disk when attempting to play a copy once protected channel. At least several of these are different from their 8.1 counterparts. Could one of these be the "system file modified" that throws up the error?
I haven't tested any of my extenders with my win 10 test box. I wont till I see a confirmation. This is why I still run a win 7 box that is in my closet. I just cant take a chance since someone is always watching. My test box is my personal PC. But I can wipe and start over any time and run a script to install all my daily roggies. I can have my system back up and running within a hour.
And if you do a reinstall? First the "Uninstaller", then "_TestRights" and "Installer". My Anysee tuners hasn't any problem from the beginning, only a sound problem. My suggestion do an reinstall.
When I copy over the MediaFoundation from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, I no longer received System Files Modified. The System Files Modified message also does not happen if we take WMC v8 and install it on Windows 8.1. So we know the main page of our WMC is not the cause. At this point, for me with System Files Modified message no longer occurring, I'm not sure where to approach next. If you want to bypass the System Files modified message, a good 5-15pages back you can find a post where someone detailed the method of removing that message. I never tested that myself.
Hello guys, WMC x64 v8 causes KB3081704 (WinDVDPlayer) being offered. Is there any registry setting or other flag, which does it (by upgrading from Media Center Edition - the flag is activated)?
Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ADOVMPPackage\Final] "ActivationEnabled"=dword:00000002
HDMI audio output crash I encountered a problem: WMC crashes whenever I try to watch a MPEG-4 (HD) live or recorder content from a DVB-T tuner with HDMI output. WMC doesn't crash under one of the following conditions: disable HDMI output enable HDMI output but set Realtek audio (non-HDMI) as default device watch MPEG-2 (SD) content replace msmpeg2adec.dll by the one from Windows 8.1 rename/disable msmpeg2adec.dll in order to use LAV or other codecs Windows Media Player doesn't crash when playing .wtv HD content (unlike WMC). When WMC crashes, an application error is logged in Event Viewer with a 0xc0000005 (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) error caused by msmpeg2adec.dll module in ehshell.exe. Using older msmpeg2adec.dll solves that issue but makes PouchinTV (or other BDA-based TV tuner viewer) to crash after 30 seconds if I simultaneously open WMC and PouchinTV to watch content with two tuners. With the latest dll I can open these two programs. Using LAV codecs also solves the issue but I can't play at 1.4x speed with working audio (and I prefer to use Microsoft's codec).
No, so called "Modern" apps can't be emulated/manually installed by registry and trustedinstaller like dism packages the app is specific for certain version and up: Code: TargetDeviceFamily Name="Windows.Desktop" MinVersion="10.0.10141.0"
I have downloaded and installed Windows Media Center 10.0.10134.0.zip on my Windows 10 computer, following the instructions carefully. In the TV section it ran into two problems : It didn't succeed in downloading a downloadable guide because it said it ran into downloading failure. I couldn't find the WMC Update log anywhere to check and see what the problem was. Also, when it ran for tv signals, it didn't succeed. (On Windows 7 there was no porblem). Manual scanning didn't succeed either. I wonder if there is an update or patch for this file which can overcome these problems.
10134 LiveTV setup data and guide didn't work even on the native 10134 W10 WMC. Likely because a ban from the servers. So is, more or less, futile trying to get it working on the patched OS. Just get V8 which is 9600 based.
I haven't followed this thread closely because I'm still using Windows 7 but has anyone had any success playing protected content on Windows 10 with WMC added?
Welcome, i have problem with my tuner Avermedia AVerTV Hybrid Volar HX (A827M) / windows 10 home 64bit > media center I tried the latest media center, he can not see my tuner in the media center I see something like this Unmapped Digital Terrestial (1 Tuner) There is no channel live found I'm interested in only an analog tuner The tuner operates on other programs, driver should be fine. Help me pls, I have always used the media center, but can`t now sorry for my bad English...
Thanks Graznok. I think that now Abbodi has one more file to add to V9 I can't help with that, sorry. Here the Analog TV died 3/4 years ago, and to make the the matter worse my hybrid card is PCI while my Home Server has just PCI Express slots.
