For the most part no real progress at least known progress has been made. Just different errors for different strokes. For now I resort do Windows 7 Embedded Set Top Box dual booting on Windows 10 whenever I want to watch TV. That doesn't help for recording obviously. But I have... other means for that...
Has anybody been successful in getting all the channels with a AVerMedia H826 USB Hybrid ATSC/QAM hooked up to cox communication cable Phoenix AZ. Loads fine with windows 8.1. I am missing something between 8.1 and this???
At the top and bottom of each page you will find navigation bars, just click on the one that says "First" and you will be on the first post of this thread.
Sorry, to confirm, are you saying you have a Xbox360 connecting ok, but it disconnects after 5 mins? I cant even get mine to setup as a extender.
I'm afraid no, at least not not organizing the virtual machine exactly like I did. It's not a fault of the method itself, but simply the DVBlink company is European with no US offices so, just like me and other guys on this thread, they can't do proper tests on cable cards. At least at the time of the post the situation was: protected contents = yes, cable cards supported = no. Anyway since June a new version of Dvblink was released, and the method itself is one of the possible zillions of variations of the same basic idea, depending on the machine's power and the user's fantasy and skill.
I don't have the same tuner, but the same issue with a Gigabyte U8300. Both digital and analog channels present in Win 8.1, only digital in Win 10. WMC only sees ONE device, while scanning for channels in Win 10, while it sees TWO when scanning for channels in Win 8.1
I have a combo card and Win10 WMC only see's digital too, doesn't bother me as I don't have analog but in Windows 8.1 it was showing both tuners.
One problem that I did notice is that when I replace the mcepg files with the windows 8.1 mcepg files, I get the full lineup but when I try to click on any of the stations, it says I do not have a TV Tuner,
Yes it connects fine to two different extenders but then they both disconnect and reconnect after about 5 minutes of playing tv
Funny... I can watch the silly GOP debate, but not football on Sunday. Is there anything that you need from me or that I can test to try to watch protected content? I would like to help get this working. Still getting the "Files Changed" Error.
yep, does not make a difference. I even installed the avermedia media center and ran the TV setup at the same time as MCE, didn't make a difference
