Yes, but these are the complete ISO files with the latest update already inside the ISO. It's not possible to download only the November update (Version 1511) separately and because my installed windows 10 is not 1 month old I do not get this update automatically. So for me I can not test this at the moment.
Just to verify, run _TestRights.cmd, and at the new opened cmd execute these two commands: Code: del /f /q %windir%\system32\CompPkgSup.dll ren %windir%\system32\CompPkgSup.dll.bak CompPkgSup.dll see if that solve the issue
I had the same issue with live tv not working "the dreaded circle" so I uninstalled v9 and installed v8 and everything seems to be working. (fresh install of 1511 build 10586 x64)
So does this mean that only v9 of WMC is not working in the latest 10586 Build (or update to it) and v8 of WMC of this treat is NOT causing any problems ? But then again user bodine465 is saying that WMC is GONE if the new Build is installed after updating to it, so we need to disable the update for now I think ?
Uhm.... I'm new here. I tried a search for WindowsMediaCenter_6.3.9600.16384_x64_v8.7z and got no usable results. WHERE do I find the file for v8?
My HTPC updated to "1511 build 10586 x64" with v8.7 Loaded on it all I had to do was rerun _TestRights And have had no issues. But when I had to do a new install of 1511 build 10586 x64 on another computer I used the v9.7 and live tv would not work so I went back to v8.7 and it now works.
found v8, but it doesnt help. almost same thing, except that rotating ring not endless, but stops after 30-40 seconds, with all tuners in use error, but list where wmc asking for stop some recording are empty. there are 8 virtual tuners from dvblink, and they definitly not used. also, after that check - uninstalled v8, rebooted, installed v9 - same thing as with v8 for now, its see tuners, scanned for chanels just fine, loading epg, but now show any channel.
Thank you so much! I uninstalled 9 and installed 8. Everything went smoothly until I tried to play a file. I got a "System Files Modified" error saying to do a system restore. ha. geeze. I can't even post a link when it's embedded in a quote!
It was installed on a version of Win 10 upgraded from an existing Win 7 machine. The eHome directory remained, but most of the contents were gone. Once I reinstalled, I had to go through the motions again setting up the tuners, etc... Still having an issue with channels playing, but it's used primaily for viewing shows recorded on other machines, so I'll fix it later. Strangely enough, after posting this original post, I went to fix the wife's laptop. When it upgraded to 10586, I got the same results. eHome directory was still there, but contents gone. This time, after reinstalling WMC, I fired it up and clicked on a channel.... poof! Channel came right up. Didn't have to configure anything. Not sure why it retained it's setting when the other one didn't.
Are you doing testing yourself on a US CopyOnce system? What is the flag called in the Policy Settings?
Yesterday was a great day, i managed to get the scrambled channels to work on mediacenter in windows 10
