It seems like you only had problem with v10?

I've tried v1, v4, v8, and v10 - same problem with all, was never able to set up tv channels.

You say you opened HDHomeRun setup and verified tuners, but did you actually RERUN the setup program after installing WMC? You need to do so, if you didn't. Also rerun TunerSalad if your using it. Reboot after both.

My problem started only after updating to the new November update.
I use Digital Devices tuners, but it seems that type/brand is not the problem.
To Charley04: off course I installed BDA drivers (DD setup) again.
Even after that I deleted complete driver setup, reboot, installed again, reboot: no success……….

NO TUNERS available after 1115 update

Now I'm back to a image that I made yesterday and everything is still working (this now is the point BEFORE update to 1115)

When you say 1115 update, do you refer to Windows 10 update or WMC pack? If it is WMC pack, why did you update on first place?

I installed the offline version of DISM, uninstalled it and installed v8, I get all the Current Over-the-Air (Antenna) DTV channels for Phoenix, AZ, ( at least now I get 38 channels instead of 6) but I am plugged into my cable outlet. with windows 8.1 and windows 7 I get all the Digital Cable Channels (over 200 channels) using the same TV Tuner AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q H837 :g:

What I mean is the new and latest MS big November update called: 1511 or Build 10586
This update (3Gb) will be "automatically" installed !!!

In my attempts to stop “automatic” downloads, which was explained in earlier posts, I was not able to stop it. So I do not know what will happen next.

I think my problem is HDHomeRun software or services. I noticed when scanning for tuners, "Detecting HDHomeRun Tuners..." message stays up forever but if I hit the "x" on it, my tuner shows up right a way. Also, if I want to update or repair, the installation should be able to kill running services but it fails to do so. I have to reboot in order to uninstall/reinstall HDHomeRun soft.

Yes I did, but see my post right above. I think something is wrong on the HDHomeRun side of things. The software is acting strange. I did multiple un-installs and different version re-install. Does anyone knows how to complete clean the system from SiliconeDust software?

This happens to me on both W7 & W10 with HDHomerun Prime. After a restart WMC will not find any tuners, but Windows sees them and HDHomerun View works. However, after a machine wakes from sleep everything is fine with WMC. So if I need to restart a computer, I will immediately put it to sleep after it starts, then wake it back up.

    Huh ?
That's strange behavior, I shall test this tomorrow and let everyone know if this also works on my systems.

I've used a free program "Advanced Uninstaller" for several years and had good results. It runs a standard program uninstall and then (optionally) scans for left behind files, folders and registry keys. I've used it with all my trial builds here to uninstall the HDHomeRun software before installing WMC and I'm not having any issues.

Did the 1511 update last week when it came the first time available and after reinstalling v8 (WMC was gone after the update), when using DVBLink server, the HDHomerun tuners are all fine and found by WMC during tuner installation. After reboot, cold boot, or resuming, I have no problem when viewing Ziggo TV. I only use DVBLogic and no HdHomrun software on the system. I used only the v8 version of the WMC installation, no other version, older or newer.

On other systems under Kodi, the tuners are also found when using the DVBlink PVR addon, and all is playing well. All systems are updated to 1511.

Running Win 10 home, 64 Bit with all the November updates.

Installed per the README file. Worked for awhile, could view drm as well as non-drm channels in WMC. manually recorded a short segment of a drm channel and that worked.

Not sure what transpired, I did not change anything and no more updates to my knowledge. Now getting the message ' System Files Modified, Critical Windows Media Center files that are required for video playback have been replaced, etc. '. when trying to play a drm channel.

When this happens I can no longer play non-drm channels as well (System Files Modified error) until I exit WMC and start WMC again. Non-drm channels OK at that point but still cannot play drm channels.

EDIT: Unistalled per README, rebooted, Installed per README and everything working again.

Same thing for me. I see I had the following update yesterday: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3120677). Maybe that broke something.

Re-installed and everything works again, we'll see for how long.
