Thanks, I am in the process of getting some windows updates at the moment. Then I'll get started. should I reverse net localgroup "administrators" "Network Service" /add if so how?
You should, at least to test if the fix is effective Code: net localgroup "administrators" "Network Service" /delete
The uninstall felt a little rough but it completed. Two boots were required to completely uninstall. TestRights and Install went fine. After the 3rd boot, I went straight to a DRM channel and it plays. Checked out the Language section Plays English and Spanish. A lot of you guys are going to like this..... If yours is working now, your settings are saved. You will not have to run all the B.S. Tuner Driver, DCA, PlayReady, Etc. Uninstall, boot, uninstall boot, TestRights, cd c:\... installer, boot and hit WMC and your done. Thanks for your help Abbodi. v12 is real sweet!
Is there V12 now? At the permalinks on page one it shows updated through 12.25.15 only. V11 is working great, what does V12 bring to table? Thanks!
I'm surprised you haven't learned how to follow the trail of breadcrumbs during the 6 years you have been a member.
I am good at finding breadcrumbs, but up to now, the trail always pointed back to Post # 1 for the "latest version"
I got an error 0x800f0922 and WMC wouldn't install with the x64 (v12) with Windows 10. I had removed v11 with the uninstaller and rebooted. I couldn't make sense of the DISM log, and the install finished with a CBS error, whatever that is. Tried again starting from scratch (Windows install) and got a "5" error and it wouldn't install. V11 worked great for DRM for a while, but I got the "modified files" error. Any ideas? BTW v12 x86 works great on my tablet. Thanks for all the great work on this.
Great work on V12 - thank you! The upgrade from v10 went very smoothly and all my settings were retained. One thng I have noticed is that I am getting three warnings in my event viewer like this: Task Scheduler service found a misconfiguration in the NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\Media Center\mcupdate definition. Additional Data: Error Value: %SystemRoot%\ehome\mcupdate. Task Scheduler service found a misconfiguration in the NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\Media Center\RecordingRestart definition. Additional Data: Error Value: %SystemRoot%\ehome\ehrec. Task Scheduler service found a misconfiguration in the NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\Media Center\mcupdate_scheduled definition. Additional Data: Error Value: %SystemRoot%\ehome\mcupdate. In each case I was able to remove the warning by going in to Task Scheduler and adding the missing '.exe' to the action for each task. The odd thing is that if I look in the task definitions within the V12 packagage, these tasks DO have the .exe extension on the command.....
A couple of us had to run uninstaller twice. Maybe you too? uninstaller/boot/uninstaller/boot/TestRights and Installer/boot/WMC (3 boot total) Not sure if it will make a difference at this point, but its worth a try.
Hey guys, I just While recording, I've been reading a while. Thanks to you I installed wmc in W10, and everything worked ok me. The only thing is I was not able to change the language to Spanish WMC, which is my native language. The fact is that today has been updated and wmc w10 me gone. I tried reinstalling the v10 but I get error when entering recorded tv. I would try to install the latest version of the patch as you have read the 12nd but can not find the links. I saw that on the bottom of the post of a user are available links to the v12 but I sent all to version 6. Please instruct the proper way thanks.
