Tried to search but didn't find any posts. Has anyone had problems with the timeshift functionality? I have hdhomerun us3 win 10 usingn the v12 x64, when i time shift or use forward or reverse the recording breaks. Also, when i watch recorded videos, fwd/rev look to error and stops the playback as if the recording had ended.
You will have to contact Makryker over at thegreenbutton. I believe this is a limitation of MCL, not WMCv11 or WMCv12 Way back in this thread there was some talk of adjustments for MCL, that I have not tried yet. Use Search this thread, NOT Advanced Search
crash2009, thanks for all your help getting us this far! I actually lost v11 when I updated to 1511 a few weeks ago, and at first it wouldn't fully re-install, but after mucking (and failing) with v12 it finally did. Thanks for the suggestions, but yep I've already tried all the posted fixes (and more, I work in IT). I actually wasn't going to post at all, but after seeing a few posts of others in the same boat I figured I would add my experience so others know sometimes a reinstall may be needed...
I understand that most of the features of MCL do not work when running it under Win 10, but I wonder why copying over the 'Microsoft.MediaCenter.Shell.dll' file (which is the one that MCL patches when making guide changes) from my working Win 7 WMC does nothing, the guide is as it was before.....
MCL works perfectly. With v12 even the EPG grid customization worked. And for me is the first time I see it working on w10
I just installed MCL in v12. I agree "works perfectly". In v10 and v11 I was unable to get all features to work.
would someone who has installed wmc check their system for corrupt system files. I installed twice and both times it corrupted my system files and I cant repair them thanks
First off - thanks a bunch to all that made this possible. I'm on the Win10 insider program. As usual, the latest build 14257 wiped out WMC but unlike the last 2 builds I can't seem to get it working this time. WMC installs fine and runs but throws an exception when recorded tv is accessed. Any ideas?
v12 DISM failed Error: 0x800f0922 Many thanks for providing this help. sfc /scannow did the trick. After this completed, the v12 installer ran successfully. Code: E:\Downloads\WMC\WMC_6.3.9600.16384_x64_v12\WMC64>sfc /scannow Beginning system scan. This process will take some time. Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios.
Correct, but progress is being made, not just for Xbox 360s, but even 3rd party extenders (like the Ceton Echo). There's also been some chipping away at SoftSled barriers (using a Windows PC as an Extender), but at this point, nothing is guaranteed, but I have faith in these WMC Heroes!
I have done about all I can for this year regarding Echo and Softsled, and whatever of that, relates to the 360. My notes are in my signature. Winter is over, that means I am back to work now. Next thing you know I'll be busy with beach's and Bar-B-Q. I'll be back full force next winter. I will drop in from time to time to see how you guys are progressing. It's been a slice!
