Damn!!! I'm sure your're right. I have a static green theme on WHS, so likely that's the problem Thanks !
A theme ? That should not cause any problems. The themer apps just replaces some files to change the colors
OK, I spoke too soon. Removed the theme, removed the widescreen switch, but sill no video and static wmc logo.
your in the wrong site u need to post in sat sites....their was ECM yesterday all HD channels are down at the moment.
QUOTE There's a thread dedicated to WMC DISCUSSION-Patch-WMC-to-run-on-Windows-10-final-amp-possible-alternatives /QUOTE You are right of course. I clicked the wrong button and ended up posting here but I don't know how to change it now. Can a Mod help please?
Go back to your post, click on edit post, in top left corner it says Delete this post in the following manner:, click in box, delete post, your done dude
YES !!!!!!!! I want to disable it....any idea ? I've been trying to work for about 2 years now to find out WHY it pops up at random for some people but, not others. I was a beta tester for Windows Media Center for Microsoft on Vista and Windows 7. I reported this bug directly to Microsoft and was told they wont fix it but, I could never get a reason why it happens. It just pops up at random times for some people but, not everyone (it does not happen on 2 of my home computers but, on my HTPC it does and I have rebuilt MANY times trying to see what the change is). My HTPC is connected via HDMI and it goes out to a AVR, no volume is ever adjusted on WMC or the PC itself. Trust me there is a history on this issue and maybe because I am a little OCD about these things, I cant stand it I have never seen it on Windows 8.1 or this 10 version...(unless I use the volume key) Can it be removed from 7 ?
its most likely caused by your AVR's audio subsystem conecting/disconnecting. Not unlike the silent stream bug that plagued early Mcs
Alright, bridged network tuners fully fucntional. Live tv on encrypted channels functional ( i have comcast, in my market ALL channels have DRM for live) Recording firing off no problem. I think im ready to put it on my live box. Has anyone noticed any long-term issues i should be aware of?
I can't see an option to delete the post as described. Maybe it can only be deleted when there are no replies?
This is not related to a theme. What I meant was when Media Center detects RDC, it shows a static green logo in middle of screen at launch; and when it runs from console or when it runs from RDC with patched files, it shows animations with Windows Media Center title fade out. Also, without patch, when Media Center is launched from console, and you swap to RDC, a message box is displayed and Media Center is closed. If it continues to run, then the patch worked. I have no idea why it doesn't work for WHS-2011 at the moment.
Yes I thought there was a chance of a reversed cause/effect given the themer blocks the animations by itself Ok. Thanks anyway, I'll test it on W7 and/or on a fresh WHS build when I have more time.
