Did you read ? Uninstall 12 reboot, Install v8, reboot, Uninstall v8, reboot again and Re-install v12...it should work.

 

Wasn't there a SFC repair, reboot, in between reboot and Uninstall v8? or in between something else?

 

If I understood correctly you must turn off this edition 11 I have to pass the version 8 to remove and pass the version 12 and will work after the recording of programs automatically?

 

V8 is used as the uninstaller, sfc repairs the o/s..boot boot boot... v12

Click v8 in my signature....do not use download manager.

Recording problem is fixed in v12

 

First reboot isn't needed, likely even the second one, but surely it doesn't hurt

Installed this quite a while ago and been working fine but recently it stopped working and WMC never opens has there been a recent update that has caused this?

 

Anyone else get Xbox 360 extenders to work? Or Ceton Echo for that matter? From what I've read it seems like only 1 or 2 ppl got it to work.

 

The 2 that got 360 working wrote good directions. I followed the instructions and got echo connected. No play at present. Maybe you will get farther?

 

Do you have a 360? I know you've been hard at work trying to get the Echo working.

Thanks Gareth, this worked for me!!! Turns out the new ISO I created today was actually 10586.104 (even with no internet connection) but it looks like all is working and I hid/blocked those updates, none were installed.

Sorry for large quote, but figured this could help the next person too =) I literally jumped and said yay when xbox connected after all my issues trying this last night.

Glad you got it working!! I wrote up the full procedure in case i do had to do things from scratch on some other system and theres nothing worse than knowing you did something but can't figure out how

Something happened to my last post which missed out a bit. I Wanted to make you all aware that the 1 geek 1 tool guys website 1geek1tool.com which hosts the excellent "Media Center Cast" app as well as "Guide Tool" and others appears to be fully working to the extent you can download software and trial it and appear to buy licenses from them via paypal but you'll find the email used with your paypal account to pay them which should activate the software doesn't work well it certainly didn't for me trying to get Media Center Cast to activate.

I bought a license for Guide tool years ago when i needed to use it before i went over to DVB Link setup and kept the license details. So i decided to install it to see if the old license details would activate it. For that app you need an email used for the paypal payment plus a transation ID for the payment. I had saved these from years ago and put them in and it activated! So it seems that there not maintaing the link between paypal and the databse that holds who's paid for new licenses (i think). I tried emailing them using the email used for payments and mentioned on the site and all of them bounce back undelierable.

This seems like its an ongoing situation going back to November 2014 judging by this post on the green button forum:-

After moving away from xbox's and setting up a NUC I really wanted to use this software. Luckily at the end of the thread was a guy early that day who was offering to send modfications required to a file to bypass the activation so long as people sent him a screenshot of there paypal payment. I did this and duly received the hex mod which i carried out and now have it working.
