sir! I await your findings and would be most grateful for you to furnish this here forum with them... good luck and good day to you.
OK, with the announcement today of the ending of the Win 10 Free Upgrade offer (it will end 6/29/16) I would like to return to 10 before that date. Does anyone have a clue as to why (as described in my first post (#4496 in this thread)) the reinstallation of V12 after a "restore" operation of the 10 OS repeatedly failed? No combination of "Uninstall" "TestRights" and reboots that I tried would allow me to install V12. Am I correct in assuming that, since I now have formatted the drive and installed 8.1 in order to get my WMC back, that the regular Win 10 upgrade then installation of v12 will work as it did the first time? Or is this a problem with newer versions of 10? The machine was on 10586.218 when the v12 install failures occurred. Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your "ink", but I had already advised that I had the UNI Xonar drivers installed and had followed the instructions as per your 2012 Youtube video, probably back in 2012. Thanks though and have a lovely weekend. When I fix the problem, I will post back.
I don't remember all the posts (or where they are) that describe the problem you are dealing with. All I can suggest is for you to start reading at the beginning of v12. You can get to the beginning by clicking the v12 link in my signature. I suspect that you need to delete the ehome folder and run the un-installer from v8. Try to recreate the failure and get the error message. I suspect it is..... 0x800fo922 After you get the error number search and you will see the solution.
Hi, Per the instructions that came with the patches, I installed versions 8, 11, 12, and MC doesn't work. After installing one of the versions, I forget which one, I received a message that Windows cannot run MC because of a "software restriction." Sincerely, Walter
I finally got some time to try to connect Linksys DMA2200 Extender to a WMC10 VMware (in order to capture conversation). WMC10 was unable to find the Extender after I have entered the 8-digit code. This might be a UPnP-like problem. I disabled firewall; no success. Something blocks the network discovering. VMware box LAN is set on Bridge mode and has an IP address in same subnet as Extender. Is there a way to manually connect the Extender using its IP address? In the meantime I will try to solve the underlying problem (even without using VMware).
OCURDiscovery doesn't find my HDHR Prime Tuners - what can I be doing wrong All: from a new build 10586.218 and using v12 I get No Tuners Found - of course hdview works fine. Troubleshooting my run of ehprivjob /OCURDiscovery returns immediately with 0 results - what can I be doing wrong!? I've troubleshot by running wmc as administrator, ensured network discovery on the NIC is enabled, disabled the firewall...
