Are they both plugged into the same switch Does the extender have a reserved IP (DHCP reservation) in the router How about Device Manager/Add Legacy Hardware
So I found my problem, not sure why this worked but I added /ex to the /OCURDiscovery and got comments about adding unknown tuners - and after that I'm good to go.
The DVD player is installed automatically by the v12 installer, if is not your case something went wrong or you did something wrong. So double check your app list, before asking for alternate sources (which anyway are easy to find googleing for them)
Running build 14332: Used the following in Elevated command prompt. c:\windows\ehome\ehprivjob.exe /OCURDiscovery Discovered known device 'HDHomeRun Prime Tuner 13178E09-2' Discovered known device 'HDHomeRun Prime Tuner 13178E09-0' Discovered known device 'HDHomeRun Prime Tuner 13178E09-1' But still no tuner found so far in the redstone builds.
Of concern to me is whether the so-called "Anniversary Update", or something like that, will be based on th or rs build frame. If rs1 it would appear that WMC maybe a thing of the past.
I have HDHomeRun Extends (3 devices, so 6 tuners) and it works fine with 14332. I did have to reninstall WMC after doing a backup, then run as Admin to configure, then rerun the HDHomeRun setup (I used the newest from their forum). The channel scan and selection work for both OTA and Cable Providers. All GOOD!
It's really unlikely that some major change will come in the next two months. If WMC works on 14332, likely will work for the foreseeable future
Well I have been running 14322 with different installs of v9, (when copy once started working) through v12 and I haven't been able to get wmc to do a live tv setup on this build of rs1. What version of hdhomerun drivers are you using?
Hi, No need to have a B plan.. eshell.dll just has been updated to version 6.3.9600.18299. You just have to extract this file from KB3150220, replace the previous version by this one in ehome folder and it's done. It's working like a charm (you just have to modify access to this file in ehome folder to authorise the replacement). Tested with Windows 10586.318. The next version of WMC installer have to be updated with the new version, as it was the case for v10 installer with a previous update.
