Its just a bunch of folders, each one contains a LP Code: 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> AR-SA14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> CS-CZ 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> DE-DE 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> EN-GB 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> EN-US 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> ES-ES 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> ES-MX 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> FI-FI 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> FR-CA 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> FR-FR 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> IT-IT 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> JA-JP 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> KO-KR 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> NL-NL 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> PL-PL 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> PT-BR 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> RU-RU 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> SV-SE 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> TH-TH 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> TR-TR 14/03/2015 09:09 <DIR> ZH-CN
I know, but I was asking if there was a way to grab the ehome translations from the .cab files but I don't think that is possible without installing them on a b10036 system.
This is an example of the directories for MC resources it will only differ in build version and language (and architecture amd64) Code: x86_microsoft-windows-e..blauncher.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_2dd2701793c49d9f x86_microsoft-windows-e..converter.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_66d24521ba8f99de x86_microsoft-windows-e..eady_eula.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_b89be5961f487bfa x86_microsoft-windows-e..e-ehcmres.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_2d79c0c09c77f83c x86_microsoft-windows-e..e-ehdebug.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_8f20afb9aedff0f7 x86_microsoft-windows-e..e-ehrecvr.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_20e37ecdb726fcaa x86_microsoft-windows-e..e-ehsched.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_cdedc4d28766737d x86_microsoft-windows-e..-ehchhime.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_3eebc165637ae470 x86_microsoft-windows-e..-ehchsime.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_cbb6b884d4486ce5 x86_microsoft-windows-e..-ehepgres.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_8402d0d1c426a892 x86_microsoft-windows-e..-ehjpnime.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_2a1be0f72d52ba5b x86_microsoft-windows-e..-ehkorime.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_52be15d25ab2713d x86_microsoft-windows-e..ehprivjob.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_15a157762bebca70 x86_microsoft-windows-e..-mcplayer.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_92ae407c5a6dc676 x86_microsoft-windows-e..-mcupdate.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_2177fe8afc5ddcfe x86_microsoft-windows-e..presenter.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_0634d406e0cb7a7c x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-cbva.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_b9574556ebad9405 x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehdrop.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_f14fc8bb90566803 x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehentt.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_21c31980511bd70f x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehglid.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_ac7374d82b8cde20 x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehmsas.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_db25866fe26ea3ba x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehrec.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_521ab65373a1273e x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehres.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_415ff46f0d15934e x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-ehvid.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_d6b75671043a8897 x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-epgtos.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_4c7f8946dfe1ab1f x86_microsoft-windows-ehome-itvres.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.9926.0_en-us_70604ecdb41184c4
Unpack the cab with 7zip and grab the files one by one using the en-US MUI folder as reference. Better to use a decent search sw to found them in the zillions of subdirectories. I suggest Agent Ransack (which is great and free), because the stock Win search would take ages to do that task.
Thanks. Could you check if ehtray.exe needs to be patched? It won't run and there's no icon in the systray.
Ah, I got the wrong person then. I hope Graznok can also do something about the guide not being downloaded.
So, at this point you get live TV with guide working but, no guide updates. Anyone look into Settings>TV>Guide> About Guide Listings ? This will show End Date WMC goes about 12-14 days. Then how about doing a manual guide update (Get the latest Guide listings) ? Does this work ?
Copied everything over and now the shortcut appears to be valid, however MC doesn't launch when I click it. I get a brief pause like something is happening, but then nothing
MS Listings aren't working on the real 10134, so trying to get them working on the patched version is basically futile. Just use mc2xml to get the MS listings in xml format and the great EPG collector to inject them back to WMC. EPG collector can also collect the EIT or XMLTV data of the all the programs, or just the ones not available on the MS EPGs. Basically making WMC on par with Mediaportal on the EPG area.
AFAIK I followed everything in order. When I try to recopy the tasks it tells me they already exist, and importing the .reg showed it completed successfully. I did have an issue overwriting a few files, but taking ownership and changing some permissions resolved that.
Try to open the .reg file without command prompt. You will get an error that it can't be imported, but WMC should work after that.
Before giving the full access for Everyone, "Windows Media Center Receiver Service" and "Windows Media Center Scheduler Service" may generate Access Denied error. I've tried to start both services once after added the Everyone permission, both services can start successfully. Then even if I remove the Everyone permission from the Media Center key after a successful start, both services can still able to start.
edit link removed (see following messages to get thee right one) That's the patched file according to Graznok's instructions. Looks like it doesn't work/it's not enough. BTW try it by yourself to confirm.
