Having a problem with a fresh install of win10 and v12, everything works fine until I try to go full screen. I lose all video signal and have to remote into the machine to get out of full screen. tried different video drives and no change, any ideas?
its set at 1080i and 60hz, not sure if wmc is trying to set a new resolution when it goes full screen and the options to set it is gone from the setup
I am not speaking about the setting inside of WMC, but the settings of your graphic card. Also, have you run the complete Windows media Center setup from within WMC including all the TV setup? Also are we speaking about a single monitor setup, or a dual monitors setup, and if so is the problem on both monitors
yea my video card is running those settings, I did the only set up options it gave me, which was setup internet, speakers and live tv.
I updated to the anniversary update (build 14393.5) on a previously working WMC install. After the update process was finished, my ehome directory had been deleted. I ran the uninstall/install scripts (with restarts in between) and ran the MediaCenterRecoveryTask, but ehshell.exe won't start anymore. Event viewer has the following errors after every attempt to run. Any ideas why it won't start? First this error: Application: ehshell.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Thanks, the v8.6 uninstall/install seems to have fixed it. I originally installed using the link in the first post and didn't realize there was a better one.
You used Setup Express instead of Setup Custom. Now you need to go in the other way an Setup the Display. Use Run Setup Again.
T-S, maxifier kind of fixes the issue, if I close wmc and then reopen it using my remote it goes back to the default full screen and I lose video again crash, looked again and the option for tv setup was there, problem is I cant really use it unless I go into full screen
You said your graphic card was set to 1080i and 60hz. The (i) confuses me as I think the PC should be on 1080p unless the content dictates 1080i. In your graphics card setting there should be a resolution (1920 x 1080 ) and a refresh rate (60hz) It should be set this way both in Your graphic card control panel AND Windows 10 Settings > Display >Advanced Display settings. What Graphics card / adapter are you running by the way?
yes both are set to 1920x1080, using the intel 3000 integrated, cant fit a card in with my centon in my mini-itx that's been the setup most of the time, other monitor was a dvi and with and without it same problem
What model of mini-itx do you have? 1) Just by doing a simple search for mini-itx and intel 3000, I can see there is dual DVI dual DVI with HDMI DVI/VGA with NO HDMI one of the examples even showed output to Display Port 2) If I am guessing correctly, there are 4 different ways the Graphics driver can be configured. Single Clone Extended Dual independent head (DIH) 3) Based upon 2 sets of 4 variables, 4 to the 4th power, there could be 256 different answers to the same question. So, What do you have there? Might be best to open up the box and get the model number off the board.
I have uninstalled and then reinstalled v12 and do not see media center but installer shows it is present on my computer. Any hints on where it is or how to reactivate it?
