What model of mini-itx do you have? 1) Just by doing a simple search for mini-itx and intel 3000, I can see there is dual DVI dual DVI with HDMI DVI/VGA with NO HDMI one of the examples even showed output to Display Port 2) If I am guessing correctly, there are 4 different ways the Graphics driver can be configured. Single Clone Extended Dual independent head (DIH) 3) Based upon 2 sets of 4 variables, 4 to the 4th power, there could be 256 different answers to the same question. So, What do you have there? Might be best to open up the box and get the model number off the board.
I have uninstalled and then reinstalled v12 and do not see media center but installer shows it is present on my computer. Any hints on where it is or how to reactivate it?
Anyone else having trouble getting Media Center v12 to recognize their Ceton Eth in the Redstone build 14393? I can install Media Center v12 fine and the Ceton tuner diagnostics work fine, but Media Center refuses to recognize any tuners once I went to Redstone. It worked fine on the Threshold builds. I have done the clear tuners and rediscover tuners thing multiple times in the Ceton app. Also, I did a clean install of Media Center v12 after upgrading to Redstone. Any help would be greatly appreciated. People with a Ceton Eth may not want to upgrade to Redstone.
Assuming the installer did correctly its job, It's under windows accessories, where it was since Vista
Getting Windows Media Center woking in Windows 10 with HDHomeRun Tuners I was having an issue with my HDHomeRun Tuners, TV Signal setup in WMC, with v12 on fresh install Win10 1511 10.586.494. Then I found this thread: 59124-Redirected-Windows-10-Media-Center-Possible?p=1222096&viewfull=1#post1222096 Which said: "I also had the put in a firewall exception for C:\Windows\ehome\ehrecvr to get my tuner, HDHomeRun HDHR4-2US to show live TV." And with a reboot all is now well. First Post - Thanks to "All" who helped with this project.
Show stopper??? If I understand this correctly, everyone who updates to Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Redstone), which will be released on August 2, will lose the ability to use their digital tuner in WMC. Seems kind of serious. Is that correct? Did anyone try the obvious step of copying the missing files from an earlier version of Win10? What are the implications of blocking the Redstone update? Will subsequent updates, including critical security updates, possibly not be installable without Redstone installed? Is there any hope that one of many great contributors to this project will find a solution? BTW, a big thank you to all who have contributed a ridiculous amount of effort to bring this project to where it is and those who continue to support it!
No. This will affect some CC users. Not the whole WMC userbase. I'm using the 14xxx build w/o any problem since months. Better to use an LTSB version then. 10 years of support and version stuck to 10240 The ball is in the hands of US users who owns the affected tuners. Practically most of contributors who helped to port the WMC are from outside the US, then...
I wondered as well, so I found a PowerShell script online that converts Security Descriptor (SDDL) to a readable string. The one that ejohnson0547 posted, is what it should be. The Network Service. DA;;FRFWSDWDWO;;;BA)(A;;FRFWSDWDWO;;;SY)(A;;FRFWFXDTDCSDWD;;;NS)(A;;FXFR;;;AU) [scrambler3] maps to BUILTIN\Administrators D:AI(A;;0x1701ff;;;NS)(A;;FA;;;BA)(A;;FA;;;SY) [ejohnson0547] maps to NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE;
Thank you for that. That said if indeed we are going to loose Support for Ceton InfiniTV CC with the anniversary update, this whole WMC on W10 will have been short lived Glad I Kept my W7 drive...
