I think some of those dll/ax have a MUI (In \system32\en-US and \syswow64\en-US in your case) no idea if they are really important given most of the files aren't showing an UI, but better safe than sorry.
Dont know. For right now, I am just trying to collect a list of files that that might be needed. If I am understanding T-S correctly, eventually this collection of files will be systematically injected into 14393 or Redstone if necesary. At present my version of 10586_grabber will grab the original set as well as the 6 files suggested by mwPeterson. I dont know the names of all the DRM files that will be necessary.
There is also mcxdriv.dll, just in case that is still needed for extenders. There are probably some more that need to be added, particularly for DRM.
A few more DRM files, msnetobj.dll, msscp.dll, wmdrmdev.dll, wmdrmnet.dll, & maybe wmdrmsdk.dll. Bear in mind, I have no real idea if this is the path we should be exploring.
I'm anithing but sure, but I guess that If the problem is the tuner detection I think that the BDA components should be the culprits, then, if the drm contents aren't working you should look at the drm components as well. Anyway only the real test can shed some lights on that. Until the script is on notepad is hard to guess anything.
We had a plan, but according to Wiki, we don't need it. did it work ? how to make trusted installer run this
You think v12 will even be possible on 14396? I am wanting to stick with it because I know DRM and extenders work.
I got the context menu entry for WTVConverter back by changing default player for .wtv files back to Windows Media Center. Still getting the message "WTV Converter cannot convert the file from .wtv to .dvr-ms because the content is not compatible with the .dvr-ms file format." This is happening with Build V8.6 but it used to work fine on the V12 installation. I ran "sfc /scannow" to check for anything else that might have messed things up, but it verified 100%.
WMC has worked on all of the Redstone builds so far. The only problem is you cannot setup the TV signal to work with US based cablecard tuners like the HDHomerun Prime. People in Europe seem to be able to setup their tuners fine.
If you set hdhomerun to Digtal Cable you windows wmc install turner just can see and channels and on cable card wont in install turner this is a dam mess so its the cable card or hdhomerun installer
