HDHR tuner “TV Signal setup” issue, try this I’m a U.S. Verizon Fios and OTA HDTV HDHomeRun user, with three HDHR tuners (Prime, Dual and Extend), just last week I finally tried this WMC v12 on fresh install Win10 1511 10.586.494. Like most “was” having “TV Signal setup” issue, until finding topmilg’s post (#4 of [Redirected] Windows 10 Media Center, Possible? thread) also a HDHR user recommending putting in the following firewall exception: C:\Windows\ehome\ehrecvr That fix it for me on two Win10 systems. It seems it also fixed it for ejohnson0547 who posted #5772 under this thread, had success also. I have not received the Anniversary Update as of yet, but will let you know what happens when it lands. For those that are currently having this HDHR tuner “TV Signal setup” issue please try the firewall exception and report back, maybe the updates removed the exception.
Hi crash, over here in Berlin, Krautland, i'm running two different CC-Tuners to get the free public HD-channels. Hauppauge PCTW 522e USB TERRATEC Cinergy Dual PCIe Both running on DVBlink 6.1. None of them 8DVBlink-Tuners'll be found on WMC 8.6 nor 12.7 even by clean Builts W8.1/W10. BUT i always checked YES on this EPG-Thing whilst WMC-setup I have to check again by a NO. Sideways: the MC-Guide of the TV-Source package won't do it anymore, nor the downdload of EPG-Data @ WMC-setup. Is this working anywhere else? Thanks for your hard work out there!
I've patched the xml with the security descriptors as per #5580 and made my own V8.6a from V8.6, and hopefully that will fix the scheduled recordings glitches. Now some cleaning up and reboots before I try it.
Not sure if there is something wrong in DVB link 6.1. I'm currently using the old V4.1 w/o a problem, and I tested briefly the v6.0 when it was released w/o any problem. Did you try to launch the WMC recovery task? Do you see the real tuners listed during the WMC configuration?
My 8.6a edit seems to work fine. Will always check now in newer builds that those security descriptors are included.
I reactivated DVBLink v.4.5 on W8.1 too, same results But as mentioned before i did a YES on beginning of EPG-setup... Real DVB-T Tuners of these Hybrids were recognized during setup, but with no TV-Data. I will get in touch with DVBLink support, unfortunately i'm on road next couple of days.
No thing is blocking you from editing it and upload the package with the corrections. On my side I want to publish an updated version when I will be sure that the suggested way is the proper fix and not a workaround.
Stupid question. Did you try to disconnect /turn off the tuners. Maybe they are just hung for whatever reason.
I noticed some settings on the tuner end in the registry that was different on a Windows 7 machine. So I tried to Export HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Media Center from a WMC 7 machine and export it in WMC on WIndows 10. As the tuners are the same, it appears it's not a registry thing
Both of my tuners are hybrid, they make DVB-T (OTA) AND DVB-C (Cable), i am using them for Cabletuning by DVBLink + WMC. They worked like a charm, just two weeks ago.
Not quite. Afaik DVB-C is more or less the same thing as DVB-T and S. Same standard, different media. In america ATSC and Cable cards are two completely different standards
I better take that down.....in case they are watching....and they say "Land of the Free..." Speaking of free, did you get that free trial of HBO ?
