No need for a newer version to fix that. There's nothing wrong on wmc itself. Either try again with a fresh w10 installation or restore the settings folder from a working machine/installation
Despite the numbering, V8.7 is a more recent branch/version than V12. A lot of people don't get that.
It's another branch. I didn't name it 14 for a reason. 8.x are possibly still problematic for you know who... Cable Card users And I didn't name it 8.1, because Win 8.1. Im sure that naming it that way would have put in the panic all the distracted users over here )
You really dont have to go back that far. Sure 7 is the smoothest when running MCE but you can run win 10.1511 and she runs very nice.
Default no program guide after update first thanks for all the hard work everyone's has put into this project. i reinstalled after the anniversary update and now my program guide will not populate... it reads Zapit 10/01/2015 is there a fix for this...? i've tried to search far an answer but no luck.. thanks a ton in advance.
Since January my WMC was very stable, no problem at all. But now I have a strange problem with MCE. My motherboard is died so i changed it for a MSI N3159I ECO motherboard. Installed Windows 10 build 1511 and WMC_v10. Everything works okay movie's and music dvd play well, only when i start Live TV all output on the screen is stretched in hor. and vert direction. After that the movies etc. have the same problem. Have anyone a idea how to solve this problem
What video card are you running, onboard chip or addon card? Have you played with configure your tv of monitor under setting/general or TV?
If i ever had issue with my guide I would always make sure I run mcupdate.exe under C:\Windows\ehome and right click and run it as admin. Then try to update your guide.
Here is the first problem in 14393.51 DCA is not designed for this version of WMC or you don't have WMC So, I guess that means install WMC before DCA. Nice to see the acknowledgment, however, this message is likely from DCA, not 14393. Install PlayReady, 2 choices...downloaded version or Window Update Version. I'll take the default (use downloaded version) even though it is older. Flip a coin on this one. Hope I get lucky. Bookmark this post, I am going to update as I go, rather than spreading my notes all over the thread.
HI, Just installed Anniversary update last night with all its updates, fresh install. during the WMC installation I installed PlayReady first and then tried DCA...I got the same error while trying to install DCA.. so I installed WMC first and rebooted and then tried DCA and then DCA installed without an issue or complaint... Problem I have now is that it does not see my CableCard tuners from HDHomeRun and DCA gets an error when runs inside WMC.. I think I need to scan first with HDHR software.. it was late so I left it alone.. I will try tonight again.. I installed WMC version 8.7... just as a test and see how it goes...
