That's the version 2 I think, it's 6 years old! That version used some fake satellite tuners The current is the version 6.x, get it from the dvblink website. Or, if you mind to buy to the same shop you bought the v2, look for the v4.1.1.
Coriusly enough I encountered it yesterday during some aimless browsing and I placed it in download queue, out of couriosity But for testing purposes i really suggest you to get the latest, you can use it freely for 20 days
I all ready cleaned up the mess and am installing v6 Edge on the new box screwed me....when I went to DVB, the downloads were blocked. click a download, takes you to the wiki. M$ playing tricks again.
Can't get PlayReady working on 1511 I've tried just about everything I can think of but I can't get PlayReady/DRM working on build 1511. I tried installing both v12 and TS's 8.8.1 and both fail to play back protected cablecard channels. v12 said I need to update PlayReady while 8.8.1 says my signal is weak (only on protected channels). I've tried... Completely removing WMC, PlayReady, DCA, Ceton drivers Resetting DRM Manual install of DCA and PlayReady Stopping the Windows Media Center Receiver Service at the failed PlayReady update screen in WMC and deleting the files in the PlayReady folder. This get's past that step but DRM still doesn't work I'm at a loss and considering doing another fresh Windows 10 install and setting this up first. Any ideas before I wipe the system clean?
DvbLink v6 looks promising. I did get HDHR-3CC running in the DVB player. 14393's Device Manager showed the virtual tuners. WMCv8.8 saw the tuners. WMC had a little trouble with the Source Section, then PlayReady blew up. In the process of a 14393 Reset. I am going to try reading the manual tomorrow and see if I get better results.
I've got the most bizarre problem with MCE on Win10, I don't know when it started as I rarely use the mouse but i've discovered if I try to use the mouse, the mouse pointer is there, and I can move it around but the left click won't do anything, so I can't press any links or buttons. I used the v12 mce installer and I'm on the anniversary update.
Yeah. Likely I'm a nobel prize and I've never realized that there were less skilled scientists out there So the people that are going to install the WMC on w10 are going to install an unsupported, hacked, sw on their PC but should be scared to install a free and small basic tool like 7zip or another compressor like winrar which is commercial but perfectly usable even when the trial period is expired? Seriously? Actually the files uploaded on datafilehost will be deleted after 90 days of inactivity, and are also deletable via the link provided during the upload, w/o any need to register. This is the internet I like, liberal, free, and not controlled by 3/4 big brothers and governments. Try to understand what the WMC on W10/Win Server technically is. It is a hacked sw which circumvents some checks put in place deliberately to make it possible. Although MS is pretty tolerant on such things, putting it on a personal website isn't surely the most brilliant idea ever. We did it for fun, because the curiosity, and most of us have bought it legally on w7,or 8.x, so I can't be more relaxed from a "moral" POV, but that is...
Is this project tested and working with the latest Windows 10 anniversary update? I have a test machine that has been on the fast ring of the Insider builds and tried last week. I couldn't get the _TestRights.cmd or the Installer.cmd to do anything more than briefly flash on the screen and disappear when running as Administrator. I followed the instructions to run SFC and the two DISM cleanup commands, but no errors were found and nothing changed when running those .cmd files as Administrator. Last night, I did a clean install of Windows 10 on this computer and tried again without rejoining the Insider program on this machine. I'm still having the same exact experience trying to start the Windows 10 installation. I have the lastest WMC_6.3.9600.16384_x64_v12 download available in these forums, and my computer is running Windows 10 Pro x64.
It work even on 14901. If you cant gain the elevated prompt very likely some AV or security SW is the culprit
As this was a clean install on a new hard drive, the only software installed that wasn't part of the Windows setup is the Nvidia graphics driver package. The only type of security software running is Windows Defender.
