I did both the things. Perhaps, from what i did read here I thought that the bda tuner was visible under the device manager, but not seen by WMC, instead I see that there is no tuner at all under the device manager, is this the normal behavior?
The point is it shows up before or after the successful configuration? I'm still in Italy, one machine to look at is already a big achievement. Anyway I was in hurry, maybe I missed something. Usually BDA tuners are visible under audio, video and game controllers. Edit: NVM: Indeed I was looking at the wrong place
I'm assuming you are trying to connect to a tuner here in the US. Then it would be good to know if the remote setup is correct and you can successfully configure WMC on a machine where it should work. Anyway, my thanks for trying.
Theoretically i can install eventghost on both ends and change the channels with my remote. Very useless but very fun Anyway I'll keep you informed
I placed the Ceton Diagnostic Tool on the desktop of the N 14393 if you want to use it. It doesn't log much with no WMC, but you are welcome to use it. We need a better Remote software that wont lock you out after the reboot.
Teamviewer offers unattended access with many options. Start with Connections | Setup Unattended Access. For more options, see Extras | Advanced | Advanced settings for connection to this computer.
I have also tried it on my system with HDHomerun Prime and I get to the exact same spot as crash. I've tried it several times (i.e. rebuilt, went back to checkpoints, etc) , but I can't seem to detect the tuner in WMC. I'll keep trying over here as well.
Are you using one of the N versions? Not that it would make any difference ATM, just curious. Home, Pro, Enterprise, LTSB ?
if you spent 5 minutes reading this thread you'll see that you need to reinstall it after the update.
Yes, you have a little catching up to do. Start reading at about Aug 2, 2016. You will be an expert on the subject in no time.
Hi, for Anniversary update : 0- decompress the WMC .7z in root of your system disk (ie C:\WMC64) 1- Backup your WMC settings running BackupRestoreSettings.cmd file as Administrator 2- uninstall WMC (Anniversary Update will break it and let some files, so it's better to completely remove it first). I launched the .cmd file twice to be sure. 3- install anniversary Update and reboot 4- Reinstall WMC 5- reinstall your settings backup and you're done. Tested with V12. All is OK here in France, even My Channel logo settings are preserved. Speakers configuration in WMC is back. Only people living in USA with cablecard seem to encounter problems.
