ATM I'm using just Dvblink, but given Dvblink and ServerWMC can be used together w/o any problem I was used to have both up and running. In that scenario you can connect Kodi to both of them (using two different plugins). From the KODI point of view they do the same thing, but there are small differences between them, especially if comparing the current ServerWMC with an old Dvblink release.
Yes, right. Also it seems working with HDHR but not with Ceton tuners. No problems outside the US, and , I believe, with ATSC tuners.
My 360 lost connection and somehow lost connectivity. Trying to re-add I get the setup error. Other 2 xbox 360s working fine and this one WAS working fine but now cannot connect. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Well thank you so much because v12 DISM had errors on both on my W64 desktops, only 8.8.1 succeeded. I have one more 32-bit system to do so I'll keep your link close if v12 doesn't work again.

I tried the changes for ServerWMC mentioned way back on page 9, post 87 in two config files located in the Programs File folder. It did not work. Got error about could not load assemblies .... I realize that post is really old but the references to <bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-6.3.0.0" newVersion="6.3.0.0"/> were still there. Prior to attempting fix I was able to view WMC in Plex on my Amazon Fire. But I could not load live tv. (I am using OTA - no cable) Update: I got it to work by reinstalling (this time I installed latest beta) which gave me a popup to enable http service. Not sure if Plex with WMC is usable. Avoiding Kodi. Might look into Emby.
Yep very old I asked personally to the author, to fix it I was almost sure he did I hate that iPhoneish thing, but yes it should work. Emby works as well. But obviusly is better to test ServerWMC with Kodi first, to see if everything works, given its quick and monkeyproof configuration. Then install and configure plex or emby, which requires a further layer.
Sigh.... I guess no progress to getting a Ceton tuner working on the Annverysery version of Windows 10 ? Will this ever work ? Oh, I wans this to to work so bad... sigh.. Any chance of connecting to a Windows 7 machine as an extender mode (full screen, not in a window) over RDP ? This would solve the problem for me, not needing to need WMC on 10... This is how 3rd pary extenders connected using RDP(a modified secure version)....
Full screen is a problem solved ages ago, just use Actual Multiple Monitor and/or The Maxifier, I haven't tested them in W7/WHS2011 but I don't think would be different than W8/W10. Annivarsary... no progrss, but no work done on my side given I have some other troubles to solve, and I lack the necessary relax to brainstorm on that. Protected content over RDP I have just no idea of that works and what not.
On your RDP hack (Win 7 x64)... does it work with Extenders ? I know when I tested it a while ago, it broke extenders. I was not sure if you fixed that problem. If I can get the Maxifier, does it only work under a profile, or the whole machine ? I use the machine on my 4K tv, so I dont want that profile changed. I would like to create a new profile on the machine, have it run WMC in the RDP session to play live TV/recorded TV and maxify it on connect (so when I RDP to that session it runs WMC full screen in the RDP window) with out changes on the main profile on the machine. As always T-S thanks for everything on thie project....Just wish we could get Ceton tuner to work, not worried about protected content at this point.
I was not aware of the problem, but I think here some people are using the V8.8.1 and the Xbox360, and V8.8.1 comes with the RDP patch by default. Anyway if the problem is confirmed I have no way to check, nor the skill to mod the patch. The maxifier is just a small, freaking utility, launch it or close it. It automates what I've already suggested using the reg files. Actual multiple monitor is something bigger (but provides the real full screen), it can be launched and stopped at your will as well. is worth to have both of them, they don't overlap and aren't conflicting each other. I did that when I was using my manual way, not needed here, but you can.
Question about the 8.8.1 installer. Any easy tweaking (registry or other) to use to change in order to use the green skin, without reinstalling? I have one blue and one green now, would like both green. Yeah, modern world problem.
AMM works fine on Win7. Drm over RDP plays for 3-4 seconds, then gets shut down....Drm over TeamViewer works fine. David...can you see your Win7 Ceton Network Tuners on Win10 using DVBLink? Then there is the other way also....DVBLink Server on the w7 box and DVBLink client on the w10 box's...no DRM for DVBLink though.
Hi, a quick question. After recent Windows 10 update and reinstallation of WMC a couple of problems. v12 would not start at all, and v10 and v11 are not showing any add recording title search results, even though you can see those programs in the guide. Would really appreciate the help. Couldn't find answers in the thread. Thanks
Danke AFAIK no, HDHR works, Ceton does not Or dvblink server on a real W7 machine, dvblinkclient/WMC on W10 VM (or viceversa, depending how powerful is the machine taken in account)
