To add, I downloaded the lame DVD player and used the licence hack on another post. Works a treat with Embi ! Just need to install TotalMedia Theatre now to run Blu Rays, and WMC is back up to full speed.
If you are using the W10 based WMC You have to edit the .config files replacing each 6.3.0.0 string with 10.0.0.0 the same applies for ServerWMC
Hi, thanks for your reply but where do I find this .config file, I can't see in anywhere in my channel logos xl, cheers.
That was on my WIndows 8.1 WMC machine, never used MCDU on it... I just right clicked on the MSI, selected compatibility, and it automatically selected "Skip version check" it installed fine and logos show up in the guide..
I am running Windows 10 and that is what I did.... it installed fine and I have logos in the guide, This is the MSI not the exe... Yea, I looked, don't think so, I guess we have to use that...I guess this is the next step on the DRM/Protected Content/Display driver issue. there is a little tip for WMC, if you want to see info about the show your watching hit 411 <info> and it will bring up a menu, use the left and right navigation to go through it, hit info to send it away. It shows a lot of info but, does not show what filters it's using...
I'll give this a shot after work, prolly 9 hours from now. First day of the NFL season so I really wanna get this working. Thanks!
I'm completely lost sorry, the other member asked how to get the "My Channel Logos" application working on WMC on Windows 10. I own this app, the XL version and all I did was right click on the MSI, selected compatibility and it installed fine...and logos are showing in my guide now. Already running WIndows 10 with the newest v2 WMC install (working guide) Does anyone know how to FIX the font in WMC ? After installing v2, WMC font is missing so the guide and the home page looks funny ? I was trying to avoid uninstalling and re-installing...
Third attempt. You are using a 9600 based installation. Is not said that who asked is using it, as well. So, in W10 based installations, adjusting the .config files SURELY works, I don't think the compatibility way works as well, IN THAT SCENARIO.
This is what I am getting on windows 10. I have installed the app but this is what happens when launching it. Is there any other way to get logos into Media Center, cheers. Where is the .config file.
I already have it... It's not what we are discussing. When your playing a LIVE TV to see what decoder it's using, to compare a 7/8 machine and see what we are using on 10. We are trying to figure out what is breaking DHCP that is causing DRM based channels to stop working and getting the decoder issue when you try to start live tv from a window... I did the compatibility thing on My Logos but, I have the XL version (x64 as well), that installed fine and logos show up in the guide. Do you have access to the XL version ? Otherwise I am not sure...sorry
Hi, I finally found why my epg guide didn't work : I disabled telemetry settings and servers with Windows 10 Toggle Tweaker by Yasser da Silva. Disabling the servers makes the connexion impossible for EPG, re enabling them and all works fine again. So for the paranoiacs who want to use EPG guide, don't block telemetry servers, only services !
Uninstall it, When you try to reinstall, RIGHT click on the MSI, Select "Compatibility", when it comes up, it SHOULD auto select "Skip version check" (or select it) and then install it. The wizard comes up, it installed fine for me and I show logos in the guide... Windows 10 x64
So the real question is how to activate digital cable with or without a key. Because every key I used didn't work and I have a few.
