Fonts Issues Handy silent commandline tool to install/repair fonts (I added to installation files to copy, install and register media center fonts) hXXp=http Code: hXXp://code.kliu.org/misc/fontreg/
Thanks, I was the one who was having the issue but, I had the WIndows Firewall service disabled, once enabled, they imported in fine...strange, huh ?
I meant the program that Paul1965 recommended to unlock the cursor using multiple monitors doesn't work correctly.
It detects my displays as 1, 5, 6, 7, It does work if I use it on display 1. But for other displays, the screen is way off center between monitors.
Isn't this error a direct result of the patching? WMC is basically stating that some files were modified and is refusing to play DRM channels because of it. And if that's the case unless someone can also remove the tamper protection, DRM protected channels are never going to work.
8 is the primary installation, I don't imagine 10 should be used anymore as 10 doesn't work with US owners.
That is my understanding of the situation as well. I believe the files involved in the Protected Path are all verified by CRC (or something similar) during playback (which is why you sometimes get a brief blip of audio and video prior to DRM errors) so unless that mechanism is identified and circumvented we won't be watching any protected content on Win10
It could be either; A. WMC detects that the "codec" files are not what its expecting; IE; Windows 8.1 files, instead we have Windows DVD Player (windows 10) files. (msmpeg...dll, etc) B. WMC detects that there have been changes to the WMC subsystem causing the CopyProtection scheme to fail. (ehshell.exe, etc) Honestly, I feel like "A" is the more likely one, as that is what is "PLAYING" the file, and is most likely to be tampered with to "copy" the feed. IE; you install LAV filters, you can't play it because well, you've tampered with it. Even with the LAV filters installed you get the System Files Modified message, but then a "Copy Prohibited" comes up unlike the Windows DVD Player. I don't think its too far out of the realm of possibility to think that the check could be removed.
no problem. glad i could help. if anyone is having guide data problems, please refer to that post (#1027 i think). It worked great for me after trying EVERYTHING.
OK, how do you incorporate this fix in Windows 10 Home. There is no access to local users & groups in Home.
Open CMD as admin and type Code: net localgroup Administrators "NETWORK SERVICE" /add I haven't tried but it should work
this solution (this IPs) works for all countries around the world? what about for Europe for example ?
