WMC build 10525 patch. Hello, I just installed the BUID 10525 but the old patch doesn't work anymore. Is it a WMC build 10525 patch. Thanks by advance. WIKI.
I had a really bizarre problem. I started up WMC and it the window jittered. My recorded content also jittered. This behavior only happened when WMC was in a window, and not full screen. Again, I'm still on V2. I hadn't seen this specific issue before. Following my first scheduled recording attempt, I did add the NETWORK SERVICE to the Administrators group as directed earlier, which I can confirm, for me, solved the issue where my recording was starting late. That is the only change I've actually made to my WMC. I don't know how it'd be related to the jittering issue.
Have just upgraded from Ver 4 to Ver 6, appears to be more stable and responsive. The only issue I have had is the black screen and loss of audio when pausing live TV. This is the same problem that has inflicted WMC since the dark ages of XP. This is the fix answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-pictures/losing-soundpicture-when-rewinding-live-tv-in/6e0f575a-4bed-4248-9cac-a6392b7b6d16
Anyone already have a workaround to install the app using appxbundle file and that registry already found in system, but the value is 0 one will need to change registry permissions to be able to change the value
Because, those pieces of software do not interact with CableCards that have CopyOnce material like WMC does. There are not alternatives. Period. And to date, it is still one of the best standalone media center managers. This is political with Microsoft and the Xbox One. DVR capabilities with OTA programming is coming/available already. But no CableCard technologies yet. As well as no mentions.
Ok... I feel like I am beating the drum here ... I have installed WindowsMediaCenter_6.3.9600.16384_x64_v6 and when I do Live TV Setup, I get the error for guide data not being able to download... I have read through these forms and people say to change the hosts file. Other people say you shouldn't... Is there really a fix for this? I have tried every change to the host file that I can think of and have done ipconfig /flushdns after every change and have deleted the mcepg2-0/mcepg3-0 files/folders and still same result. Is there really a rock solid fix for this on a fresh install? I have also tried running mcupdate.exe as administrator as well like some say... Also, FYI, here is the error I get in event viewer. Task Scheduler service found a misconfiguration in the NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\Media Center\mcupdate_scheduled definition. Additional Data: Error Value: %SystemRoot%\ehome\mcupdate.
My Machine is a fairly new i7 5820 CPU, and I have the same problem. I don't think it has anything to do with signal or CPU quality/level. Remember WMC on Windows 7 (with cablecard support) was designed for single and dual core CPUs (that was available on the time it was released). Even your cheapest raspberry device is faster than that now days. Playready 3.0, interesting, This version of Play ready for WMC installs fine, so they should be able to run side by side. I don't see any errors in the event log. I'll have to double check through the MCE logs. It does run a little but, this signal problem is sucks, so close but yet so far... Yep and mine has said that from v2 but, actually playing digital content or Live TV that is DRM protected is a different story.
I've noticed something interesting with the audio in MC. If I have MC running, it's sound is output like it should be using the default digital output to my Logitech speakers. However other audio, like my email notification, gets output to the secondary output of my 32" LCD TV mounted behind me. Once I turn off MC, that same email notification then gets sent back to my Logitech speakers. Has anyone else experience anything like this? I did not have this happen when I was running W8.1 and MC.
Has anyone who lives on the East Coast(I live in Florida) been able to get the guide to work? I am using a rooftop antenna and an AverMedia USB TV Tuner.
Yes, I am using OTA antenna with a Pinnacle PCTV 800e HD Pro Stick. Works find for OTA with guide. I'm using the V3 version.
always on top enable [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\MCE.PerUserSettings] "enableAlwaysOnTop"=dword:00000001 disable dword:00000000
Yes, I noticed the same, Windows DVD Player was installed from WU. Baffled me for a bit. (Still no EPG here but haven't given v6 a test yet.)
Almost works on Server 2012r2 and server 2016 I have yet to figure what's the missing piece to get it fully working. Anyway the holy grail is WMC on WHS2011 or SSE2008r2. But there a W7 based WMC is needed.
Can anyone tell me if is this is how the Hosts file should look after I added those 2 in the Readme File, # Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost # 2.16.216.176 cdn.epg.tvdownload.microsoft.com # 65.55.186.113 data.tvdownload.microsoft.com cause I can only get 5 stations
