It isn't related to OneDrive since I deactivated it with a script. I think it's a driver or software thing, because when I try to slide the Office window when I have an open document, it lags/warp the hell of it, like if it was an older PC. Pretty wierd and annoying.
All home computers (various older and newer parts) running W10 Creators are disappearing from the home network after a while. Cable connection, power saving for the network adapters are turned off. Strangest thing is, when this happens, they can't even see themselves in the Network folder. Rebooting a machine makes it visible for some time, then it disappears again. During "invisible" time, internet access is fine, pinging is fine, shared printer connected to an "invisible" computer continues to work fine. Shared directories become inaccessible.
I have the same problem. I found this , seems to help. go into services and make sure all these are started and are set to automatic, reboot your PC · DNS Client · Function Discovery Provider Host · Function Discovery Resource Publication · HomeGroup Provider · HomeGroup Listener · Peer Networking Grouping · SSDP Discovery · UPnP Device Host
Only Defender built into the OS, all of them set to private, they're even in the same workgroup. All of these are running, except for homegroup stuff. But I'm not using homegroups, This is an "old style" network, using traditional shared directories. I'll keep an eye on these services though and see if they do affect the anomaly.
Does anyone know how can I remove that black border at the top of the screen when viewing an image in fullscreen with the Photos app as well as going to another image by pressing the left or right keys in the keyboard? EDIT: Forget it.
@KingAlex 1. The screenshot looks normal. What was the exact error while using KMS_VL_ALL? 2. You need to use older slc.dll in case of 1703 or newer to play the games. Its better to use this pack.
Thanks so much for reply! I am kinds slow on this Sir..what is older "slc.dll"...? Let me get back to you on this I will fire it up again and get a screen shot. The MSToolkit I used is 2.62. But I understand that using it will require you to rearm it again after the 180 days. Is my understanding correct there Sir...? Saw that pack in one of threads Sir I will try to download that but I need to get out because my internet is VERY slow and limited at home. In the meantime can you teach me about the "older slc.dll"...?
@KingAlex excluding AV protection interference, sometimes when you try to active just after first login, WMI and sppsvc might be busy and activation fails on first or second attemp try a third attemp, or reboot then try again it doesn't rearm after 180 period you either set auto reactivation (SppExtComObjPatcher + Activate-Local), default weekly or use the manual way (KMS_VL_ALL), which you need to run again just before 180 period expires
Oh sorry Sir abbodi1406, I used the wrong term and forgot what you tipped me before. It's "Auto reactivation" that is the reason I want to use KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher-kms-15_7z. I used that in 1511 and it worked fine. I just was wary when it failed in 1703. I will try again later. It may also be Windows Defender or SmartScreen. I will disable it and try again. Post the image here soon. Thanks for assistance/help Tito and abbodi1406!
