I have Hebrew 15063 and when I install it and press Shift + F10 I see cmd like gibberish, so I can't install it as vhd file. How can I take screenshot of this window (Shift + F10) ? I need to change Unicode to see cmd in English.
I've read here some problems regarding pinned folders on the Start menu, after a clean install of 15063. In my case, any setting regarding the Start menu won't apply on the spot or afterwards, be it making it full screen, showing more tiles on Start or showing/hiding app list. Also, a lot of tiles on the menu are having that annoying downloading arrow icon, like in "A great app is on the way" Right after connecting to the internet, I've disabled the option for the Store to automatically update apps, installed the last CU on WU, restarted and then manually searched for updates on Store, and installed them. I don't know whether something bad happened or this is a general problem now . I'm on 15063.13. (sfc /scannow showing 0 integrity errors) Edit1: Everything with the start menu is working otherwise fine on a newly created profile. How can I fix the default one? Clearing the cache and resetting Store?
Any one else having problem with chrome not installing extensions on 15063? Never had this problem on 14393. Tried reinstalling chrome and reinstalling Windows 10 15063 (clean installation not upgrade) 3 times just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Every time I try to install an extension on chrome, the button would get stuck on "checking". I would have to use task manager to end chrome. Also, in all three windows 10 reinstall, I've had the same problem as others regarding the Start menu. It is annoying as hell, but at least the start menu still works somewhat. Hopefully April 11th's CU will fix this.
It actually only created the equivalent folders under the default C: drive location for me, but not as system folders, only by name. IT is weird and should not happen, regardless of the behaviour.
It happened to me to have weird behaviour in Creators Edition after swapping UAC to either default or Off plus All Admins in Admin approval mode disabled. It happened only in that profile which was used alternatively. Probably ACL permissions for Apps got messed up when swapping. I had the Search partially broken behaviour as described and took me few days to figure out a solution. Try to kill Cortana process few times until it does not start again and delete everything under C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy. Do not delete the folder itself. The files and subfolders are locked if Cortana process is started. Reboot after deleting all the files which will be recreated. If this does not work, also try the solutions posted everywhere else about resetting Cortana with PowerShell.
The 3d apps in the creator update is really unnecessary, ms should allow consumer to uninstall junk app they are non-system critical and only waste our precious space.
I seem to have missing items in the Win+X menu after updating. I tried using the Win+X menu editor and I also checked the Win+X folder in AppData, everything looks ok but some of the items like "Apps & Features" just won't show up in the menu. Any ideas?
There is a limit per group, if you've added some yourself you may have exceeded that limit, make a new group
My problem with this version is the Translator popup/all popups in Google Chrome. I can't run any popup in Chrome and I don't know why.
I only added one item "Control Panel" but it was messed up even before i added. It was ok before i updated.
Windows 10 Creators Edition error 0x80004005 Hi, I've been trying to install creators update, once with the windows provided exe file and once with media creator, both failed with error 0x80004005 after about 70-80% of progress. What's wrong here? I already did try windows update troubleshooter, dism repair and I'm doing sfc /scannow, which I'm betting on won't help. Any tips? I'm running Genuine Windows 10 x64 Pro, key from Microsoft Imagine, so it is 100% legitimate.
@Olokos After several attempts , I finally got it working . Using windows update tool . Here is how I did before online updating: - disable windows firewall - uninstall nvidia drivers to get latest ones ( with CU compatibility certification ) - uninstall UX style patcher since I'm using custom visual style , uninstall oldNewExplorer , revert all explorer.exe patches I had , same for aeroglass - set default windows theme I was then able to have CU 15063.13 Then when I realized I couldn't use my personal visual theme nor aeroglass for full transparency I revert back to 14393
Comodo firewall ver 10 tends to remove all text in windows. This is a know bug. Just waiting on a new fix from comodo. Anyone else have this issue or know when the new release will be out?
I did all of these as you mentioned, but I'm still getting that dreaded 0x80004005 error :/ Did you use the "Windows10Upgrade9252.exe" file to update?
