I'm not sure what do you mean, that file always downloads update files after every retry, so I doubt it's possible to install it without internet that way. By fresh installation you mean formatting my drive?
Clean Install Pro RS2 EN-US on ASUS K401LB, all goes well... In previous versions I can not install SQL Server 2008 R2, but there is no problem in this version.
I am seeing Edge problems, particular with apps that trigger "the default browser" (Edge) then expect Edge to hand control back to them. Google App Sync for Outlook is one such tool. On a side note, not a 1703 problem specifically, but it seems to be impossible to PROGRAMATTICALLY change the default browser, so we're stuck with this issue.
Can someone please tell me what services are necessary to receive and install Windows 10 Creator's Update Store updates for whichever Apps? I made 2 major backups - non-tweaked STABLE one, where all my drivers, games, and software are installed, and all the settings applied through OS itself (without tweaking) are to my liking and everything just works - I can always get back to that near-perfect state, so please don't tell meI shouldn't be messing with tweaks. Then there is the tweaked one, where a ton of services and pretty much ALL tasks were disabled to improve performance. When I use the tweaked version, my Windows Store produces Something Went Wrong error "0x800706D9" when I try to download either new or update already installed Apps . I researched that error and people said its related to Windows Firewall, but my Firewall service is ENABLED and functional. Resetting Windows Firewall to Default Settings did not help. I also re-enabled Security Center and Security Manager services, but that did not help either... I really don't want to go service by service or task by task to figure out which service or task is causing this issue... If you - please help me out!
The apps I removed still appear in Start Menu after I write their names in "Search". I removed the Xbox app with CCleaner and it still appears in Start Menu and there are apps which CCleaner doesn't support yet, some that it doesn't support although they come with Windows 10 for months and some that appear in its list of installed programs but don't appear in the Start Menu.
everytime I change settins regarding the start menu, they revert back to the default. Like I am disabling show recently added apps and enabling Show Most Used apps, but if I go back and then check the setting again, it goes back to the default which is show recently added apps and show most used apps is off. same with selecting the folders I want to show on the start menu like docs, pics, etc any idea how to solve this?
Hey guys. My network adapter settings are all messed. When i right click on a adapter and choose properties the text labels are crazy. Ipv4 settings label looks like:@%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\tcip.sys,-10100 Anyone got a clue whats going on? Didn't notice anything else wrong. Thanks
i still haven't figured out how to change the login / lock screen colour, anyone know? it was blue before upgrading but it's changed to grey since.
@RanCorX2, This confused me too wondering why it changed to grey, at first i thought i had installed a server edition lol. To change the background colour for lock/login: PC Settings > Personalisation > Colours , Under choose your colour > Windows Colours click the colour you require, this changes the lock/login solid colour too. Default is grey under the Recent colours bit. Once changed it is now your solid colour on the lock/login. Note: It also sets the title bar colour. This can be changed a bit further down the Colours page, untick the title bars option on the 'Show the accent colour on the following surfaces' will stop the title bars changing from the default. I know there is a Registry entry somewhere that can be set for just the lock/login colour and not title bar, but cannot remember off hand where it is.
Problem: Create Local Account in Windows installaion for offline PC (Standalone) alert: "something went wrong" pass is similar: "mM12345678" or "m@12345678"
Is there really no other way to do that? I can't afford all the time to reinstall all my programs etc. right now or within a month. There's got to be another way.
couldn't you use the windows store apps troubleshooter, it should restart the services needed, should show what the fix is.
not used back button 1- entired: username 2- entired: password 3- entired: Retype Password 4- entired: Hint Redirected to Step 1 in Account whit this error: "something went wrong" this page (Account) not have "create offline account" link
