THanks, I saw that, but only managed to dl eval. The link for the en exe gave me a blank page, so I decided to go looking for the preview iso which i now have
It is maybe a very stupid question, but I need to find initial .iso release of Windows Server 2022 - DataCenter (Desktop Experience), English, VLSC (not eval). Not updated iso for any date. Could someone please help me with the name of this .iso? Is this one correct? * SW_DVD9_Win_Server_STD_CORE_2022__64Bit_English_DC_STD_MLF_X22-74290.ISO - VLSC (I think I need this one) * en-us_windows_server_2022_x64_dvd_620d7eac.iso - MSDN/Retail
Those are 20348.169 20348.1 didn't had VLSC release, only "windows_server_2022_preview" iso check "Mirror:" to download en_windows_server_2022_preview_x64_dvd_3bd1e657.exe (SVF) which convert 20348.1.210507-1500.fe_release_SERVER_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...c-21h2-20348-1-fe_release.83200/#post-1647680
Nothing is preview, it was just "early release" you asked for initial release without updates, now you don't want it, and want confirmation for obvious facts are really up to the level of Server experience?
All new builds start as Preview now and have for some time. Last-minute fixes are done via CU. That means, virtually all "official" releases already have updates integrated into the ISO. The .1 ISOs, called "base builds", are always Preview. Preview in the MS sense does not mean Beta, it just means "issued before official release".
It's just matter of semantics, but calling preview the final .1 build is pointless and confusing for less informed users. 20295 was a preview, and it deserved that name given it was rock solid and perfectly working, but not yet the build meant to be released. 20348.1 on the other hand isn't any different than (say) 20348.2006, they both get CUs and they will be never "finished", until EOL. Likely MS hired someone in Holland for the task
