A little correction... I don't know about win8 or 8.1... but as for Win7, I can use (AM using~~) the latest RU10 P1 14.3.12167.10000 without problem ~~ Of course, that has something to do with the ESUs... but solutions can be found !!!
The data above is extracted from Official Symantec Documents and applies to Legitimate Microsoft Licensed Products. However, there are all sorts of unofficial Service Packs for OS 7, 8, and 8.1 that modify them and possibly add some features that allow the installation of newer versions of SEP. However, these are not official.
Thanks for this ignoramous I will try that now. I have Windows 10 and most of the versions here have giving me problems. Either after install, the version puts up LOCKED .tmp files or others have Errors with Firewall. And that is very bad. I use this to tick AlwaysASK before allowing traffic. But most browsers just slip thru. Not a reliable program. Perhaps somebody here knows that the problem could be. I used Clean Wipe before every new installation. And most give me the error in firewall problem. And when sometimes a version does not have the firewall error, then the Ask before allowing traffic, does not work! Meaning it does not ask! I have Windows 10 Enterprise. Thanks
