Nobody thought of making a script that downloads the latest versions available and hosts them on an ftp / http somewhere so that we do not have to use a wget commandline to download the files ?
The general idea is that you download the packages directly from Symantec, not from an unknown 3rd party. When it comes to Anti-Virus, you need to trust it and the download source. If Symantec published SHA1 (or other hash code), we'd use that as well to check the integrity of the package.
