Verify digital sign by Symantec: Resolution After receiving the software package from the manufacturer, right click on any exe, msi, or dll file, and select "Properties". If the files are digitally signed, you will see a tab entitled "Digital Signatures", select that tab. Verify that the Name of Signer is the manufacturer of the software, and then select one of the signature option(s), typically sha1 or sha 256 are both options, and either can be used for this process. Click on the "Details" button once a selection is made in Step 3. On the Digital Signature Details page that loads, select the button "View Certificate". In the Certificate page that loads, select the "Details" tab, and then the button "Copy to File". In the Certificate Export Wizard, click on the "Next" button on the first page. On the Export File Format page, select either the DER or Base-64 encoded x.509 (.CER) option and press "Next" button. On the File to Export page, use the "Browse" button to set where the certificate file will be placed, and the name of the file. Broadcom recommends making the file name easy to recognize and place it in a common area such as the Desktop. Click on the "Next" button. On the Completing the Certificate Export Wizard page, click on the "Finish" button and click the "OK" button when the pop-up box appears.
Do you have by any chance full installation file? Like: Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU8_Full_Installation_EN
It's pretty straight forward, actually. After downloading the file from RapidGator, you have: Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU8_All_Clients_EN.zip Assuming that you have no interest in ARM (I don't), you extract from the zip file: Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU8_Win64-bit_Client_EN.exe Using Windows File Explorer, you right click on the above file and choose "Properties" In the resulting window, you choose the tab for "Digital Signatures". ON EDIT: Oops, I didn't see the more complete answer already posted by someone else.
Symantec FULL INSTALL: Enjoy (EXE file inside Zip file for easy upload) Files DELETE (84 peoples already get it). Thanks
After installation of Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3.10148.8000, if I try to modify or uninstall to software using .exe file, it asks me for a client password. It seems that there is no simple way to uninstall or modify the any option (for example to remove Symantec add-on for edge browser) if installed once.
One question. Appreciate some expert reply to this. I installed Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_14.3.0_RU8_Win64-bit_Client_EN.exe after checking its certificate and virustotal.com. I tested for working anti virus, and all appear to be working as expected. So what will I get if I purchase license for this? I am a single desktop home user.
Afaik nothing, SEP shared here in this thread is mostly interesting for the client package which is fully working as-is. It's meant to be used with SEP manager as an administrative solution targeting business customers. I assume the price point, (without knowing anything about price levels), is not feasible for regular consumers. It's one of the best solutions imho and equal to Kaspersky's pro-line btw.
